If you are going to rehash then do it Nintendo style. They always put all they got into them. Even Sunshine Mario was really creative.

"You're princess is in another castle!" isn't creative after the 50th time. Yeah I know all Mario games don't have that finding your princess thing or w.e but seriously come on. When are they gonna let Mario go. Theres been like over 200 games with him making appearances in them.

You clearly don't know what Mario games are about if you think they're  about "rescuing the princess".

Bolded it for you.

lol! this post only confirms you dont know anything about mario games! haha silly you :)

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Let me clarify for you, even the games where you rescue the princess are not about rescuing the princess.

Signature goes here!

I want Nintendo to surprise me with new content, not new gameplay.

That's hardly "firing back."

Yeah, it's just a blatant statement of truth.

Pretty much, yeah.

What are you talking about? That's like suggesting that Disney should "let Mickey Mouse go" because he's appeared in so many cartoons. Maybe the Philadelphia Phillies should "let the Phanatic go" because he's appeared at thousands of Phillies games.

Are you comparing a sport mascots appearance in a sporting event in order to boost up the hype of the crowd to mario appearing in numerous video games?

Yes. Mario is Nintendo's mascot. He is more recognizable throughout the world than Mickey Mouse, and his games still push higher sales than anything else. Suggesting that Nintendo should drop him just because you're tired of seeing him is ludicrous.

Critics' analysis can easily be deflated by, hmm, let's see... actually developing more and NEW IPs other than their flagship mascots or the Wii series.

considering that the critics critism is uncalled for nintendo can go about doing their thing like they've always done: improving gameplay. which is kinda important, for, you know, games.

Why do that? Xenoblade was one of the best Wii games and its sales weren't so hot.

If I can list some new IPs other than their flagship mascots or the Wii series that they've published over the past couple of years, will you admit that you spoke out of ignorance and that your opinion is therefore completely invalid?
