In 2001, Wii's tech didn't exist or was very early in creation.
Thus it would have been a $600 console that sold at a significant loss.
(this is primarily referring to the motion controls....)
ok so now we're not including motion, which is odd as that's the primary upgrade on the console.
Gamecube was $199 at launch.
Wii has an upgarded CPU and GPU on the same architecture as GC... same but more memory and other items.
I'd think the higher end stuff which is more powerful than Xbox would of put it (at a Nintendo profit margin) ~$400+. Keep in mind Xbox launched at $299 and selling at a loss.
