Maybe they are. Haven't used it in forever.
Last time I used it I had an icon that said Folding@home.

Yeah, they changed the name from Folding Home to Life With Playstation a long time ago. Maybe even years ago. But, in your defense, I was thinking of Folding Home. You're some sort of mind reader!
when I open life with playstation, it turns off my ps3.

I did, still synched while the option to synch sits separately above it. Maybe it was just one last time, it doesn't synch from within the game anymore, fixed, sort of.

It was called "Life With Playstation" when I first got my PS3...4 years ago.
