Sony copied nintendo on what? Motion controls have been there since Eye Toy, the plans started back in 2000. Sony also popularized casual gaming, invented the music genre. All the casual products you see on the market are thanks to the Eyetoy, Singstars a,d Buzz we saw a decade ago.

Not to mention Sony's biggest innovation: PS+

All comments are welcome, but I just want to put a stop sign on the who copied who debate please. Just state your opinion on that and if someone disagrees we all just move forward.

shouldn't this be in nintendoland 

but it does seem like sony might get out of the hardware business,i mean you have to turn a profit right,maybe they'll just become soe/psn type business or have a very good plan for their next console like selling at a profit but you know if psn goes down a lot of us move to wiiu online right,are you ready

Microsoft has already acted arrogant, even though they have yet to be on top. They also monetize everything: Online play, DLC, microstransactions. This company shouldn't get too much power.

Why would that bother you? They could take advantage all they wanted, it wouldn't affect a non-MS fan much.

I never liked Sony (playstation as well) that much but I know they're not going anywhere. They're just going through some tough times is all, and I don't want them to go bankrupted because then some other company even worse would come around. Like say Apple, if that was to happen......I don't even want to think of it.

I'm not in love with Sony, but I'd hate to see its first-party studios get hit. Well, actually I just want Sucker Punch to succeed.

It would, if there was only a Nintendo and a Microsoft console and if third parties didn't put their games on the Nintendo system.

I wouldn't buy a Microsoft console anyway, but the people who want third party games... well, they could get screwed pretty hard.

@bolded: That certainly is a possibility, especially if they get greedy and want to adopt the same strategy. Though I believe gamers would just migrate to the other console if things got bad enough with MS, and the games would soon follow.

As a Nintendo fanboy, I'm thrilled things aren't going well for Sony, :D! I'd like to see them crash and burn.
Well, not really since that has a lot of economic consequences for Japan and will lead to thousands of people losing jobs, which I can't seriously be in favor of, but let's just say I wouldn't be unhappy if Sony's gaming sector fell off a cliff (as long as their workers found jobs elsewhere, of course).
