Forums - Nintendo - Emailing Nintendo really works!

Nintendo did not create the game just because you emailed them. Many fans emailed them about Luigi's Manson 2 ever since the first one come out.

A collective of fans is what made it happen.

That, and Miyamoto figured that since the first game was originally meant to support 3D, it would be cool to revisit the franchise on the 3DS.

Luigi's Mansion one of the best-selling GameCube games, so that also helped.

I endorse whatever violence it takes to make a LM2 happen.

..What? We haven't resorted to violence yet? Well call me when we do!

We didn't even get to resort to violence. :(

Seth, next time you Email Nintendo, ask for a 3DS version of Wave Race. You know it makes sense :D

Wait Nintendo has an e-mail account? I thought they would use proprietary digital mailing software, Wii-mail. ;)

First isn't a good thing, because i lost all of my nintendo coin.
And the second time i complained about 3DS connection, and they (Nintendo) remote my Pc to fix my router setting!!

So Nintendo is now spying on you!  Be careful what you look at online!  They are watching us...

e-Mailing Nintendo does work.

When I got Ocarina of Time 3D (damn, that's over a year ago already), I wanted to register it to get the free soundtrack CD from Club Nintendo. Sadly, some kind of bug prevented me from ordering the CD but it did register my game, so I couldn't try again. Wether or not this bug was something on the Club Nintendo-site, it was too busy at the time or it was something on my end, I don't know.

Anyway, I e-mailed them to say ordering the CD failed, but I really would like to still get it. They replied almost immediately, thanking me for reporting this error and telling me that they would send the CD to anyone who registered their Ocarina of Time 3D copy automatically. I got it the next week.

Since they already decided they would send the CD's regardless, I gather they knew there was some problem for some people. Still, they made me feel like I made a difference!

I emailed for a promotional Vhs copy of their N64 games. A few weeks later I got it in the mail! Actually it was in the 90's so I probably called them.

I actually called them and notified them that I broke my original Wii Sports disc in half due to it not reading on the Wii.  My Wii would read every other game I had except Wii Sports (sometimes it read it but most of the times it didn't).  I blamed it on the shit paper holder that they used instead of a normal plastic game case for causing scratches where it wouldn't read.  The first lady I talked to on the phone didn't offer that much help (she said I could purchase another copy from Nintendo site for 20 dollars, before it was even sold at retail in USA (just a pack in)) considering I broke it myself.  I then emailed them my frustration saying that their customer service member didn't help me as much as she could and I felt neglected/wronged.  I then got a phone call about 5-10 minutes later after sending them the email and the representative said they would send me a free copy of Wii Sports due to my troubles.  Nintendo customer service is above Microsoft and Sony.  I dare anyone to call Microsoft or Sony stating they broke a disc in half and expect anything in return.  I now keep my Wii Sports in a black plastic holder that Blockbuster used to use to hold their DVDs (they threw out a bunch at the dumpster when closed down).

How about the disc scratching fiasco that the early 360 models supposedly encountered?  I believe they made you pay for replacements for that.

Order a replacement Microsoft game disc from the Xbox Online Service Center.

Console registration is required to place an order. The cost is $20 plus tax and must be paid for by credit card.

I'm actually in the midst of a custoer service nightmare with Nintendo, so I have to disagree--their CS is, frankly, awful, with one hand having no clue what the other is doing.

Ah what are the problems that you are dealing with?  They always been pretty helpful to me every time I called them or had an issue.  Just keep playing the loyal customer since NES day card that usually works for me...
