Is there not free healthcare in Europe? Do people actually go hungry in America? Communism is not freedom. I promise you all that you have more freedom than you think. We are not the only country with big brother.

Nothing is free. We pay the healthcare with huge taxes.

It's better than having to pay health insurance for rip off private healthcare. Private is good, but it should not be the only choice like in america, as the poorest suffer

Only choice? Do you know of two things called Medicare and Medicaid?

PS: If you accept counseling, read more. Read books of different political views, about communism, about conservatism, about social democracy, about libertarianism... And try to understand something, due to the way humans behave, communism always degenerate on totalitarian regimes. You can't have freedom and communism at the same time, and that makes it unacceptable as a political regime.

@badassbab Forget the American civil war did you? The war over slavery in the 1860's? Not only that people fought each other in the wild west too

No I didn't forget, there was a follow on post. Saying the US grew rich in the 19th century is vague, kind of like saying the Chinese economy got big during the 20th century. Post civil war is when the US economy really took off. Also lets not forget, as bad as the Civil War was it did help initiate the heavy  industrialisation of the Union controlled parts.

It made the US become one, even though the south didn't really want that. And as the USA was so big, it could expand on itself, it didn't need europe so much. As, it connected most parts of America by rail which was a massive deal in a world before the invention of cars, and expoilt it's resources like gold and oil

Capitalism is good because it promotes democracy, prosperity, liberty, free markets(variety of goods and services) and freedom. Freedom of speech is encouraged. Capitalist societies generally lead to more freedom and unequal distributions of wealth, power and control.

Communism is bad because it usually leads to totalitarian militant dictatorship ruled by a One Party. Poverty and slavery of the majority of the citizens living under fear and oppression. The ruling Communist Party control most of the wealth and power = corruption. Censorship and media is controlled by the ruling Party. Markets are controlled and there are limits on the availability of goods and services due to the inefficiency of goods and services produced by the State. Speaking out against the ruling Party may lead to imprisonment, hard labour or execution.

That's not quite true. You can have a prosperous or a poor capitalist state ruled by a one party dictatorship or an absolute monarch. The Gulf States and China like the West abide by their own form of Capitalism but none are democratic. South Korea, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Latin America and others all were dictatorships for many decades as capitalists countries.

That's like saying slavery was good for helping Africa get jobs. They get paid less then half of what we get paid yet they work twice as long. They're slaves.

Despite what your teacher and parents have told you, having no job is better than being a slave. Especially in China where food is no longer scarce.

The claim is no where near the same. The difference is between voluntary and coerced. Slaves are coerced into work, through the use of guns. When somebody in China goes to get a job, they do so voluntarily... because it's the best option.

Food is no longer scarce in China? Bro, I'm living in Hong Kong, I talk to people from the mainland on a daily basis. The consensus is 100% clear: if you do not work, you will starve. Chinese welfare is nowhere near enough to feed you and your family.

Actually, my teachers told me all the shit that you guys spout. That capitalism is slavery.

actually since we are born in debt. Need a mortgage to get a house and a student loan to get a proper education you will start life in debt.

Debt creates slavery.

Currently playing: MAG, Heavy Rain, Infamous

And what does that have to do with capitalism?
