Bullshit Sony IS doomed, the armchair analysts told me so.

Its the hip thing to do to bash 360. So when the numerically less internet 360 fans try to fire back against the numerically majority Ps3 fans, its a total outrage amiright?

Seriously, that article is just like any forum post.
It's nothing but a personal view of the situation, and just tell people what he thinks it's true, not presenting any factual information or numbers. Quoting an unknown gaming site is just proof of that and the amount of "I think" "I bet" "I very much doubt" and the worst "I have a very good feeling about this" in this is staggering.

Just more games are coming,["I think"] it'll get better. It's very strange for this to be part of forbes, since it's based on numbers, stock, forecasts, etc. Or at least it should be. Sony is not doomed, but this adds nothing to prove against it or otherwise.

The Forbes article is sneakily "forgetting" the real reason Playstation is "doomed", Sony's overall financials, if Playstation was altogether a different company not related to Sony none of these "Playstation is going down" articles would exist.

Anyways, I'm sure Sony will get their act together... eventually.

Not saying Sony is doomed, but the article only mentioned that the PS3 sold almost the same as the 360 (in a shorter time), he doesn't take into consideration how much money Sony lost in the first couple of years, doesn't matter if the PS3 will outsell the 360.

I wish we could put an end to any doom article. That would be the doom of gaming "journalism" though.

No, more negative 360 comments. The main "counter attack"is  to cite Sony financials and PS3 lifetime sales. Even though they won the internet, the Playstation Police have to squash any negative news they come across.

But I do agree, they arent doomed, just in decline.

I mean:

That being said hes kinda missing the point when he tries to compare the close salez of the PS3 and 360. While its true that they are close in unit sales the 360 has been far more profitable.

Either way Sonys fortunes could completly turn around if somehow the PS4 becomes another PS2. Its too early say Sony is doomed, though they are certainly struggling.
