Probably have a job that uses my degree, married and have kids. The last two make me glad that I chose gaming.

On a serious note, why wouldn't that work out? what does that have to do with beeing a gamer and spending your free time playing games? the job part atleast should work, thats what I'm doing.. no wife and kids, but got an apartment that i own. and who needs ladies anyway... :'(

Job part is mainly my fault (with video games not really being a factor) and the very difficult situation of trying to get a parks job (Wildlife Management degree) with 1000s of other people applying for the same job. Plus, I only did one internship while I was in college so my experience in the field I went to college is basically nothing.
Being a gamer is the reason why I found myself in a on and off relationship with my roommate. We both worked at a manufacturing plant a few years back and I started talking to her due to her being nice. I then brought up that I liked to play video games still and that I had a Wii. She laughed at me at first stating that she hasn't played any video games for a very long time. I then asked her if she ever tried the Wii considering it was easier for non gamers to actually play (Wii Sports). So after a few invites to play on my Wii we started messing around. First it was just high fives after she got a spare or strike then it progressed to hugs. Fast forward a little and if it wasn't for video games then I wouldn't be in my current situation. I thought she was around the age of 35+ or so and I didn't get her true age till after we started messing around. Turns out she was in her low 40s (hard to tell cause she is Vietnamese) and due to her age I haven't had to worry about pregnancy (she is now 46). So if I was with a younger person I probably would have a kid by now but due to my circumstances I find myself in a relationship with someone that probably won't be able to have kids. So gaming perhaps saved me from having kids at this point in time (I don't want any for a few more years still).

The only question you need to ask yourself is 'Am I happy the way things are now' if no, then you have to think about what you want to change.
I have the philosopy that you do have control over your life if you choose to, that is, If you are unhappy with something, change it.
The bigger things in life don't change over night, but you do have a choice.
The park thing though I have no clue how hard it is getting a job as.. whatever you do there (I work as a computer-whore, so.. yeah) :) And I have no idéa where you live either (care to share?)
aaaand.... how old are you? :) just out of curiosity (age has no meaning after like.. 21?)
so, are there things you would like to change? I am a pretty much content man.. I work with what i studied.. I have a good solid income and the only thing 'missing' is in lack of better words 'physical love', and I'm not sure I even want a girlfriend at this point. Enjoying freedom, beer & food :).. and friends.. and games... *list goes on*
