Forums - General - How would be your life now if you would not have ever started gaming?

@Turkish
so...what are you now?

If it wasn't for gaming my life would me worse, much worse.

I learned much of my English through gaming. I played point-and-click adventures where I literally needed a dictionary to know what's going on.

That English knowledge gave me the confidence to go live abroad for a while, and started a chain reaction that put me where I am today, living where I am, working where I am and being with who I am. Today I have a happy life, as opposed to the miserable, boring, sad one I had before.

So gaming saved my life I guess.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

I'd be the POTUS, but I spend too much time playing CODBLOPS.

Probably a lot better than it is now.

If it weren't for games, I'd probably be spending more time my other free-time wasters. My life wouldn't be better or worse, just different.

I would probably spend more time outside if anything, as I enjoy hiking. Video games have always been my favorite hobby that would get me away from problems in life and from various hardships I have. Each experience with a video game has never been regretted, even the bad games. Playing over 200 games, I am glad that video games are a source of entertainment for everyone that loves them. They are my "drugs" and "alcohol" and I am proud to be addicted to them!

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

If not for gaming I would not have met my wife and would not have left the Netherlands. I would probably not have gotten out of my depression after quitting university and might have ended up drinking too much or addicted to drugs I was experimenting with at the time. Maybe I would have drowned myself in work even more, leading to more stress, and even worse sleep problems then I was suffering from.
