Metacritic scores be damned.

This sounds like an interesting and thoughtful experience in a medium that is extremely lacking in interesting and thoughtful experiences. I've read several reviews and even some of the more negative make me want to play it for myself.

As far as the play-time issue, I can understand if someone doesn't think it offers enough relative value for their money, as long as those same people aren't fine with 8-hour games selling for $60, either. That's the same breakdown.

And what the problem? I think Halo is quality and not quantity... CoD have 3 hours campaing too.

PS. The game is already in the torrents... wow 1 month before release.

as others already pointed out, you have no clue about FPS.

The shortest CoD game is MW2. Having played all CoD games in existence (also on Veteran) I could argue that I'm pretty good at this franchise and it took me 4.5 hours to complete it on normal.

An average completion time for FPS would be around 6 hours on a moderate difficulty. CoD is usually under that mark, Halo over it.

Metacritic isn't a fair way to measure a games quality because it averages in sites that hate sony. I suggest we only look at the highest scores it received.

Maybe because I grew up playing Mario Bros. (2 hours), Sonic (1,5 hour), Metroid (3-4 hours), Resident Evil (3-4 hours), StarFox (1-2 hours), Street Fighter (20 min), Mortal Kombat (20 min), etc, etc, etc.

 Most of the best games I've ever had the opportunity to play had between 2 and 3 hours.

Naaaa, no way specially in your first playthrough.
