This sounds like an interesting and thoughtful experience in a medium that is extremely lacking in interesting and thoughtful experiences. I've read several reviews and even some of the more negative make me want to play it for myself.

As far as the play-time issue, I can understand if someone doesn't think it offers enough relative value for their money, as long as those same people aren't fine with 8-hour games selling for $60, either. That's the same breakdown.
