The thread isn't about it going on Wii it's about if it would be possible even though Sony published it. Soriku is right, S-E holds the rights to this game and whatever they decide to do with it, Sony doesn't have a word on it.

Why wouldn't there? No way if there was to be a remake that Sony wouldn't get something out of it.

And yes Soriku Wii games and ps2 are near identical. Wii library has tons of ps2 ports. Why not.

Yeah its totally up to Square. However Namco Square and some others are in Sonys pockets. Otherwise Ff and tekken would be multi. square make their big series for Playstation. Kingdom hearts any remakes (FF7) and new FF's will always be on Playstation. i have heard talk of hearing Kingdom hearts is going to appear on the wii. lol i doubt it, which would you rather play it on?

It depends on exactly how the contract for publishing was written. Notice how a Goldeneye remake was canned by Nintendo for XBLA when all they did was publish it. The Sqauresoft-Sony contract might not give Sony such power however. There is no way to know outside of Square-Enix coming out and saying what they agreed to.

Leo... um yeah square can do what it wants with its games, if they want to put an FFVII Remake on the wii they can, if they want to put it on the ps3/360 they can, (but if it goes on ps3 only you still have no proof that you are right) plus the tech demo thing, it was a tech demo of what the ps3 "could" do never was even really hinted at that they were making it

I personally hope it goes to 360!,, i'd love to see what achievments they'd put in ^_^ but either way, if it gets remade to a next gen console (or even psp or DS) im buying it on day 1!
