FInal Fantasy VII - Can remakes go on other systems besides Sony systems?

The thread isn't about it going on Wii it's about if it would be possible even though Sony published it. Soriku is right, S-E holds the rights to this game and whatever they decide to do with it, Sony doesn't have a word on it.
