Forums - Nintendo - WiiU Games in 2013?

I don't think we'll get this question answered until next year.

In the meantime, I have a ridiculous Wii backlog that I'll get to between once I'm done with my Wii U launch games. The ones I'm most looking forward to getting to are:

The Last Story (still sitting on my TV stand, unopened)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (only played up to world 2...)
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Hero Mode)

I also have these games that I haven't touched yet:

No More Heroes 2
A Boy and His Blob
Sky Crawlers
Sin and Punishment 2
Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles
Mushroom Men

...and probably a few more.

If I can get at least knock out the first three before MoHun releases I'll be happy, but I doubt I will.

In my court, i know Khuutra's going to dump KOTOR 2 on me after i finish KOTOR, which will be plenty of filler before Monster Hunter arrives and just drinks my proverbial free-time milkshake.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Here's some titles I can predict for next year:

Resident Evil 5 & 6 Wii U Edition — Definitely a possibility, since Capcom has been known for porting these games.
Dragon Quest X — This is a definite, since it's already coming to production.
A new Final Fantasy
Hype on the newest Zelda
3D Mario
Mass Effect Trilogy (Wishful thinking)

Bayonetta 2, 3D Mario, Retro's game, Monolith Soft's game (in Japan), Pokémon spinoff (likely 5th-gen Stadium-esque game), possibly Mario Kart. naturally with some other stuff, especially Mario spinoffs, filling that out.

No Zelda. No Smash Bros. These games take more than 18 months to make. Probably no Metroid. Maybe -- MAYBE -- Star Fox.

I'm surprised Nintendo isn't giving a lot away. They don't really have a lot of people talking about their system. It would be good for them to show a short trailer of Smash Bros (but I know isn't too far in development), or whatever they are making in the coming year. It really seems like Mario and Pikmin are the only real games until we see what is happening at E3 in the summer.

Nintendogs HD would be awesome

Its all about Aliens Colonial Marines next year.

The next SSB isn't coming out next year... 2014 at the earliest. They stated not to long ago that they barely had gotten around to actually working on it yet (the head guy and team were too busy with Kid Icarus 3DS). Zelda's not coming out for awhile either, also 2014 at the earliest. My guess is we'll see what Retro's been cooking up, but even that's not a guarantee for 2013.

But hey guys.. .you know there's going to be plenty of 3rd party games in 2013 for the Wii U too, not just Nintendo games, right?

You know.. games from third parties that you always complain about because they usually skip Nintendo consoles, but now that you're getting them on Wii U all you keep talking about is when the next Zelda / Metroid / DK / Star Fox is coming out instead of supporting the 3rd party efforts.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

EDIT

No guarantees, there. None of the major 2013 third party games are confirmed for Wii U, while some are confirmed to be skipping it (namely BioShock Infinite and Tomb Raider reboot). Where's Metal Gear? Star Wars 1313?

Seems to me like third parties are already starting to shit on the Wii U.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I was wondering the same thing. But I think we'll see some big surprises and a good support from third-parties. Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, The Wonderful 101, Wii Fit U are all great titles, but I bet they have at least more 2 big games until E3 2013.

We need moar Zelda, now!

We need moar Unchartedzz!

We need less DLCs.
