@thismeintiel - I really think this was a lot closer than the presidnetial ones, Vibe I got from media was you could declare a winner on either side by different criteria you use.

| thismeintiel said: We have one poll that says Biden won, 50% to 31% (CBS). Two that say Ryan won, 56% to 36% (CNBC) and 48% to 44% (CNN). Have to see more polls as we go forward. |
your cnbc is backwards. That one says biden won.

Biden did much much better than I expected. I actually am surprised with how well he challenged Ryan (although he did come off as a bit too aggressive sometimes). I think Biden definitely wins this, but not as big a margin as Romney beat Obama.

Lol, no. I think I just do not want to waste my vote on something that would help Republicans. Voting for a third party is a wasted vote that would otherwise help more of the values I believe in that the democrats share. I do not read your posts much, but I am curious if you actually vote left ever yourself? |
Complete voting History?
2000 Primary - John Mccain
2000 Election - Al Gore
2004 - John Kerry
2008 - Barak Obama.
And i voted for Dennis Kusinich every time he ran for the house.
So yeah. I've voted left before. My biggest issues with Obama actually are drone strikes, the NDAA and him thinking it's totally ok to murder US citizens so long as they aren't in the US.
This election i'm either voting Gary Johnson or Jill Stein, either will do.
In Nevada now...
Voting for Dean Heller over Shelley Berkly, because she's so corrupt even leftwing watchdog groups have negative things to say about her corrpution... and will vote against Harry Reid, if there is ever a NON insane candidate running against him, since he's a serial liar who got rich off of getting government projects that coincidentally were right by, and raised the value of land that he owned.
Though yeah... the point is. You aren't an independent on the basis of what people mean when talking about independents... and for all intents and purposes are a Democrat.
When people talking about "winning over independents" they mean people who can see the pros and cons of both parties.

Really, I think you are just stating what you want to believe. Independant since 18 and I will never vote Republican. Just vote for the best option that can win. The thing that annoys me about debating on this forum is it only has men that tend to be right thinkers instead of left thinkers. I truly wish we had a better pool of thinking that involved more women that are more often left minded. |
Just stating fact. Obama has been losing Independents for awhile now. The lowest I've seen the gap is an 8 point advantage for Romney. This was before the debate. A poll after the first debate had Romney up by 16 points with Independents.
As for the woman thing, it's true single women often are more left minded. However, once women get married and start raising children, they usually switch to being more right minded. Though, among woman overall, the latest poll I saw had Obama and Romney tied. Of course, since married women are more likely to vote, this is going to give Romney the edge among women in the end.

You are assuming I agree with Republicans on nothing which is compleatly wrong. I actually tend to believe in stronger immagration laws like most of the right and in almost no gun control like most of the right. I also thought that when liberals made smoking in bars illegal in my state it was an over the top view and an example of government taking too much control. In my mind though, there are hardly any pros in Republican thinking especially in the Christian right. Truthfully, the Christian right makes the whole party look bad to me and therefore not worthy of consideration.
Still there are tons of independants I have meet that only vote for one party in the two party system. So I hardly think that I am a rarity no matter what definition you would like to hold on what an independant actually is.

Being a republican or democrat doesn't mean you have to agree with every single little thing they agree with.
Hell, not even all Republcians or Democrats in congress agree with every issue on their national platform. (Though granted, that has been shrinking lately.)

I do not care about what type of women are in which group. If what you said was true most women voters would vote Republican because most of the average female votersare not a young un-marriedwomen. Most of them are older and married or were married.
If what you said about independants was also true. Romney should be winning the popular vote. As there was a slight edge for Republicans over Dems nathionwide this year, yet Obama still leads the the popular vote in most cases. If most Independants really said they were voting Romney, than Romney should be winning all polls in the popular vote. Not happening.

lol @ the Sharron Engel reference

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Okay there Kasz, I am fine with you thinking I am Democrat. I would only be insulted inf you called me Republican.
