Forums - Sony - Sony’s Gaikai is Coming to Android, iOS “and Other Mobile Devices” |teases Uncharted, God of War, Modern Warfare and more

Umm, Gaikai for Android? I am a total noob when it comes to iOS/Android but wouldn't that potentially mean that I can play PS3 games on the Ouya? Buttons and all?

That's actually a really good idea, having games on the Ouya could really help Sony and whoever is making the system. But that only depends if the Ouya sales are good, and considering the amount of money they recollected from Kickstarter I don't see why not.

That would also mean that Sony is the new Sega since it makes no sense to release a console without exclusive content. We probably should stop laughing at the Ouya for now because that could bite us in the ass if this scenario comes true^^

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

By the way who here has a fast enough connection to use Gaikai?

I don't I only have 1 Mbps download and 0.3 Mbps upload

I'm getting fibreOp, but don't have it yet. It'll be 30Mbps up/down if I"m not mistaken.

I have 3 mbps download and the last time I tried a game demo using Gaikai it said that I didn't have the internet speed for an optimal gameplay experience =/

But I don't live in the U.S so I don't know if that was a big factor.

How much does that cost happydolphin?

I can see them bringing the old games to those devices.

It would be pretty smart if they made demos for PS titles available on all devices, but the full games only on PS. Or at least list PS titles and their synopsis/rating/whatever, but label it "only available on PS" or something, it'd be like almost free marketing.

That's a great idea.  It also sounds like a likely route that Sony may take.  Can you imagine how many new customers Sony could bring aboard, as well as owners of other consoles to switch, if they let them play demos of PS4 exclusives on their PCs/tablets?  Especially if they are really getting into them and the screen pops up stating "ONLY ON THE PS4."

Of course, this also is a good answer for B/C for PS3 games, and possibly PS2 games (though I would rather them include the PS2 HW so I can play my PS2 from their discs.)
