Forums - Sales - PS VITA passes 1 million in Japan, Sony didn't even have to try.

Per latest MC charts.

Celebration time!

How long until it reaches 2 million?

At its current rate? I will guess and say 3 years.

Highest region sales wise, worst region marketshare wise.

Congratulations to Sony, hopefully it convinces more devs to have a go. In comparison how long did it take the PSP?

Congrats! 1 Million sure are big numbers and it is a good sign for a 2 mill soon enough (maybe not christmas but near the fall 2013)!

The PSP passed 1 million units in the week of March 13th 2005 in Japan (http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/38424/Japan/) and was launched on December 12th 2004 in Japan; so it took roughly 4 months, or (roughly) 1/3 the time it has taken the PS-Vita.

I predict it will take at least 10 months until the Vita reach 2 millions.

We need moar Zelda, now!

We need moar Unchartedzz!

We need less DLCs.

Can't say I'm super impressed...

nice. they mention a price cut for next year right? It might surpass 2mil along with hot games coming out soon.

Realistic, I think Q2 2013 aswel. I believe they will release a pricecut by then.
