As of September 31st 2006 Microsoft had claimed to have sold 6.01 Million systems worldwide; if you assume that Microsoft sold 7 Million by the time the PS3 launched that means that Sony has made a 500,000 unit dent on the XBox 360's lead.

and in that same timeframe (sales from release to now)

the wii has sold over twice as many units as the ps3 and xbox360(individually not combine, the combined sales fro the ps3 and xbox360 is still less than how many units the wii has sold)

In March 2006, 360 had sold 3.2 mln worldwide. PS3 sold none. So 360 ahead of PS3 by 3.2mln

In March 2007, 360 increased the lead from 3.2 mln to 6.5 mln.  I think it's doing well! :lol: 

Just try to think with brains(if you have them).

I speak about worldwide sales, it has passed some time, to make a little conclusions. =)

p.s. i want great graphics, i can chose only between 2 consoles - xbox360 and ps3, so i don`t care how much is selling console, which can`t me impress with graphics as much as x360/ps3.

@ CrazzyMa, Are you afraid to add the Wii sale numbers because they poown PS3 and X360 combined?! Cmon now, you say 'Because wii can't deliver graphics, it doesn't matter to me'... Not to you, but to the rest of the world, including game developers it does! AND IT SURE DOES EFFECT SALES OF X360 AND PS3..

 Or (DO YOU) Think Wii doesn't matter, cause i think it Does, AND IM PRETTY SURE IT DOES!!!

P.S: Not trying to flame, bash or insult people... Just trying to get that stupid idea of people thinking Wii doesn't matter (They think its a fad: HAHAHA! :P, srry...) out of their head....

PS2 first launched in March 2000 in Japan, so it was out longer than the 360 was at this time. Plus the 360 followed a system that didn't have a huge following, like the PS1.

 So that isn't a proper comparison. This entire gen isn't comparable to the last two gens. I've tried, and they don't fit together.

he doesn't want to look at the fact that the since launch the gap between PS3 and 360 hasn't really changed at all.  PS3 was supposed to use Japan to make up that gap, but weekly numbers keep dropping to record lows each week.  The way PS3 is selling now i don't think it is making up any ground on 360.  For example in march 360 sold 50k a week in america and about 3k a week in Japan while PS3 sold 32.5k a week in america and 10k a week in Japan (NPD, media create).  PS3 is probably outselling 360 by a bit in europe, but not by 10k a week or more.
