Good to see that there is demand for Code of Princess. I hope that NSMBU gets some more preorders in, that's pretty weak.



Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Kinect has a userbase of 13m+ at least in America I imagine

most sold kinects should be to casual gamers or core gamers who bought it for a casual experience with some friends/family (like i did for my nephew and my niece). i wonder if it will be interesting for people who bought it for these reasons. i can say that i'm not interested to buy it for the family, i would rather buy dance central 3 and i don't think these kind of games are games people preorder a lot.

Indeed, but do you think the game will do much at all? The holiday season will help it a bit but I see no indication of this game in particular being vastly undertracked here. Unless BenV could comment on the issue

INdeed, why doesn't VGC use BenV to help with the accuracy of pre-order numbers?

theres no way the last of us will outsell god of war. god of war is a huge, established franchise with a big following. the last of us is a new ip and they rarely sell big numbers. 

I remember the days when people didn't think Uncharted would outsell God of War. Ignoring the big ones, Drake's Fortune goes toe-to-toe with God of War games. And Uncharted had a lot more to prove than The Last Of Us does. With God of War being a 4-5 mill seller, it's a strong franchise, but not really "huge". I can see The Last Of Us reaching that.

Needs 90+ on Meta to be reasonably confident of that. Less than 85 on Meta and people will be calling it a serious disappointment. It'll still sell millions, but not 5 million+.

P4 The Golden might get to 100K pre-orders by release. That's a very good pre-order number of PSV in the USA. Perhaps too good?

Which is why I didn't say it would sell 5mill+ :)

Besides, there's currently little reason to doubt that it will settle above 85 on Meta. 

I bet the Killzone supporters said the same before Killzone 3 got any reviews.

Interesting that Forza Horizon almost has as much preorders as LBP karting and PASBR



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Plus the little big planet game is aimed for mainly kids so expect some legs

Kids like real cars too. Forza has legs too, mainly bundle legs :P

But only 4 weeks away is no excuse for a 3rd string spinoff (Forza) to be almost matching the 2 biggest PS3 exclusives for the holidays.
