What we got tonight was a prepared desperate candidate good debate will give him that. However, fact remains that his bug ideas are still vague.. I challenge the Romney supporters to please break down specifics because he is yet to do that. I am not looking for a repetition of the rhetoric, but a clear explanation of the path. Obama 2016 calm, cool and truth is what I saw tonight. Lets come in with big liberal balls in the next one.

....What exactly are you looking for? Romney's site usually has everything he wants. I'd counter and ask the same thing. Where is Obama going to get $4 trillion in cuts to fix the deficit?

Obama said it's on his website down to the dollar, iirc.

He did say that, but I don't know what the website is.

These debates have become meaningless to me. I'm not voting based on who's the better debater. I want to vote for someone who's actually going to do what he says. Being an eloquent speaker and good debater is pointless if they're just empty words.

So who do you think won the debate?  What moments were good?  Did it change your opinion?

On Facebook, Bill Mahr and Michael Moore expressed disappointment at Obama.  So, take that as your answer.  As for myself, my plan to watch the debate went out the window as my offering someone a ride morphed into attending a Linux meeting and then attending a meeting after at a diner.  I ended up going to see if I could get someone to code a game of mine I am looking to kickstart.

I do have to wonder exactly what the debates would prove here.  Is there any sort of info one can't get elsewhere?  Well I guess debates are less violent than a sword fight to the death to show the manliness of the candidates.

Where the heck is anyone going to get trillions in cuts to pay for what they said, tax cuts and so on?  Apparently, by Romney standards, touching Medicare and Social Security are out.  Maybe the government could shift all its spending into PBS and then cut that.

I think Obama, as everyone has said, has lost the first presidential debate but I dont think its a game changer. The debate was pointless and boring, the topics dragged on for too long. Although, I must say, this is the best Romney debate for a very long time, if not ever.

Yay!!!

I just wanted to say that the moderator at the debate was poor. He was nothing like the fantastic ones here at VGChartz.

Eh, i liked what Romney said about lowering corporate tax rates and individual tax rates.

I wouldn't say that Romney won, he didn't do very well. Obama just lost, because he didn't really fight back(probably to protect his likability advantage).
