Forums - Gaming - 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps?

Which one you prefer?

1080p 30fps 95 28.36%

720p 60fps 223 66.57%

WTF is a fps? 14 4.18%

Total:332

640p @ 25 fps, but every single grain of sand and dirt is fully rendered in all its brown glory and you can see the shadows cast by every drop of sweat on your character's face.

1080p @30FPS is enough for me in singleplayer games.

I always try to enable ultra settings in PC games. Or at least as high as possible without dropping below 30FPS. I'd much rather have additional eye candy than a smoother experience. I'd also much rather play Forza with 30FPS if I could up the settings in return.
I hope future games on consoles will let us choose what we prefer.

I would prefer 720p with constant 30FPS (no frame rate drop) and Anti Aliasing.

30fps is enough and the removal of all those jagged lines would make games look a lot better than simply increasing the resolution.

I don't see a huge difference, because my HD TV only has a 60hz refresh rate. So with the motion blur, it kind of wipes out both while gaming.

Do you think all the next gen console will be able to do that?

At least 1 out of the 3 is what I am expecting.

It depends. Slow paced games, resolution. Fast paced games, higher refresh rate.

480p at 10 fps.

Im sure the 720 coud with the most recent leak specs.

Yay!!!

Honestly, I can't tell the difference between 720 and 1080 while sitting 10 feet from my TV. As for FPS, so long as it is locked I don't care if it's 30hz or 60hz or 120hz.

I have to have 1080p. In the bedroom on the 42in 720p is fine, but on the 65in in the living room it looks terrible. Next gen consoles should be able to do 1080p/60fps with ease anyway though.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
