the shape and grip is very similar to the Xbox controller, theres no denying that, every other little detail is Wii-esque, which is great
still, i dont understand why this exist, well actually i do, its a way to atract Xbox fans, and i dont like it, because releasing this, Nintendo is subtracting relevance to the WiiU Gamepad

I normally dont agree with you but your right, the original link they cited games bayonetta 2 and Black ops.  Its better to innoviate with the gamepad, or use the Wii original strength (nunchuck) to push these games, not the need for something that the majority of users (especially for COD) are using right now, no matter now 'different' the op wants us to believe there is.

It already existed. Its not new. Is the exact same controller button for button as the Wii Classic Controller Pro which is what the Wii U was using up until a few months ago. They fattents the bottom of the shell and everyone begain claiming that it copied the 360 controller when the design was only made to make it feel closer to the Upad.

People are trying to make it out to be something new as out of spite of all the copying claims made in recent years when it isn't. When you put your hands on it, all thoughts of a 360 controller will vanish.

Its just another classic controller and it exist for the exact same purpose as the original classic controller. That reason being to play old style games in an old style way.

This controller argument is tiresome. We all know that the buttons feel not like the 360 buttons. We all know that the Classic controller is the starting point of the design.

But to deny that the U Pro controller took inspiration from the 360 controller, especially on the front face and tongs, bumper and triggers is silly.

First things first, the pad is very light [...]

If you're comfortable with the buttons on your original Wii Classic Controller or Wii Remote, then you'll have little reason to moan here. The analog stick is also incredibly similar to the one on the Wii Nunchuk controller - and the one on the Wii U GamePad, for that matter. The same story applies to the 8-way D-pad, which is the same design that Nintendo has been using since the launch of the Wii and DS Lite many years ago.

Pretty much everything I hate. It may be of quality but playing with a featherweight in my hands sucks.

Also, sticks and d-pads were much better before the DS/Wii success.

Yeah, I like the 360 controller. But those got worse as well. Old ones work like a charme but newer ones have bad quality sticks that aren't as accurate and the triggers start squeaking, wtf. Playing games with atmosphere really rocks this way *squeak squeak*

My point is, releasing this, Nintendo is diminishing the importance of the WiiU gamepad, which is counterproductive

More options is always better DaD. If Nintendo gives gamers the option, no value is removed from the gamepad. Those who want to play with it can, those who don't don't have to.

But Dolph, this is not like Wii, where the Wiimote took all the atention and the CCP was just there sitting in a corner for the old school gamers
This time Nintendo gave much more importance to the CCP, in order to atract the so called core gamers, which in the end might turn into the WiiU gamepad (the best thing the WiiU has imo) being overshadowed by it for many gamers, and thats exactly what i dont want

DaD, I don't see how you consider Nintendo is giving more importance. Is it marketing you see, news articles that say so? For all we know, it's an optional controller. Other thing that's great is that the UPad is 100% fully backwards compatible with it. So the Pro can't play U games, but the Pad can play games made for the Pro controller.

I dont care much about Rumble. I dont even feel it anymore and I had the N64 rumble pack and since then had every controller that had rumble.

When I play a game I dont feel it unless I concentrate on it because Im so used to it.
