I think nintendo are pushing their luck this xmas. In terms of europe till the end of the year there are three good sellers due out. Layton is the end of october, epic mickey end of november, and paper mario early december. I just dont see the 3ds doing nearly as well this xmas with that line up, especially when last years had mario 3d land and mario kart 7. I personally think the focus is pretty much on the wii u and as a result of that the 3ds is being ignored a little. I could be wrong however and it might sell like gangbusters over the holidays but i just dont see it.

Looks like the Marios (Paper and real) will have to hold the fort out west. Love the variety of games though. Reminds me of the DS and its VAST library.

I agree with EO should come for sure. But I'm very happy with this ND. I never before heard about Virtue's Last Reward, but that looks like a game I want to buy. Devil Survivor and Denpa Men (was  that the name) are also interesting for me. And I can't await Fire Emblem.

I was really disappointed by the localizations

In one hand they translate Virtue's Last Reward and Guild 01 (I mean... teeny tiny games)
But on the other hand you don't announce million seller in japan Dragon Quest Monsters, Inazuma Eleven or even Rocket Slime 3... they're not big, but it's guaranteed they'll sell much more than VLR

Ok, just some questions...

- What's that Samurai game they talked about? Is it the same as "Sakura Samurai" in the US? Because I've been waiting for this for months and then gave up hope of it getting released over here.

- Fallblox is the sequel to Pullblox / Pushmo?

- Did they mention prices for any of those games? I'm interested in quite a lot of them.

- Has anyone in here ever seen a voucher for a download game in store? Sounds like a great way to get download games a bit cheaper (as cheap as the retail versions, that is...) but I've never spotted one in the wild so far.

As for the weak holiday line-up: NOE can't juggle that many balls at once. Pokemon, Paper Mario and Layton are all quite heavy on localization and the Wii U launch should eat up a lot of resources of their western divisions. At least that's what I think, there's absolutely no other reason to keep all those games Japan-exclusive. And hey, that eShop line-up looks great!

Also... damn, 2013 will be a huge year for the 3DS: Monster Hunter, Luigi's Mansion, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing? This is Nintendo, not Sony we're talking about - they'll announce more games next year. A 3DS Lite is guaranteed, as well (new models tend to be cheaper to produce...) This could be the year the 3DS finally breaks into the mass market.

I'm happy it's VLR, I wouldn't buy Inazuma Eleven or DQM. But probably I'm not the mass market ...

There are more games I'm interested in than I can possibly play / afford so I'm good. But yeah, Terrys Wonderland, Etrian Odyssey or E.X. Trooper announcement wouldve been nice. I still think this Direct was pretty good.

I am just happy Nintendo keeps these directs up. Its nice to get refreshers on whats coming in the future for their systems.

EU direct stuff is up now, I'm downloading Liberation Maiden as I type.
