Resident Evil 6 is going to sell less that RE5, that's for sure. But not only because of the reviews.

These are the reasons I think RE6 is not gonna pull RE5 number:

- Second iterations of a series in the same console tend to sell less that the previous one: Zelda II, FFXII, Skyward Sword, MGS3, etc (there are exceptions though)

- Damage caused  by other games in the series (spin-off or main games): ORC

- Bad reception from fans and gaming journalists.



Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

This is the type of game that reviews don't really affect too much on the sales. The franchise is extremely popular for it to fall down with a Metacritic score of 69 (as of right now). Besides people who aren't interested in game reviews and still like the franchise will get this game anyway.

I think Capcom needs to do some restructuring of their RE series. They need to make it more stand-outish again.

Two great franchises sloowly dying off. Kind of makes me even more happy i enjoyed the earlier games.

Who knows perhaps ZombieU will suprise us. After all it appears to be the best WiiU game so far.

Sadly RE franchise has been dead after RE4...All the recent RE games they make is a clustercrap being put into a blender.The only way to redeemed the franchise is to go back to the all root ( RE 1-3 )

I have been a fan since playing the original in 1996 and I've been waiting since RE0 for the series to return to it's roots. Hopefully, Capcom gets the message. It's time to bring the survival horror back.

Game will still sell millions simply because of the name on the box, although I think RE5 stung alot of people so I don't think i'll sell as much as that game.

Average is still average. Half of those 360 reviews are from 360 exclusive sites that only report on xbox and from everything I've heard the PS3 version runs and looks better. Either way it's not doing good but the PS3 version is significantly higher though honestly and personally, I'm waiting and I'll get it used. I can't believe they didn't get Jill and Claire in the game for co-op and then I refuse to support and give capcom money now, like I do with Bethesda.
