...DMC3 sold 350k on the PS2 userbase in Japan. Exactly how is this supposed to help the PS3?

DMC4 would be lucky to get to 200k there...

i know that they sold good but they sold much more on ps2 and they were system sellers for it.

and i dont think ps3 will start selling like crazy when MGS4 lanches it will give it a boost but it wont make it sell like crazy

What I find particularly funny is that nobody mentions the name of the game itself in the thread...it's "Valkirye of the Battlefield" for the record, but sorry it had to be mentioned even though I'm a 5 star lurker...

Don't forget Gundam Musou which was hyped by Sony, Koei, Namco Bandai and most industry analysts as the most important game for the PS3 in Japan until the release of Final Fantasy XIII ...

Sorry, but DMC was never big in Japan on the PS2, so why will it on the PS3? Same goes for MGS.

I love DMC, but I don't love its sales.

i might agree with you on DMC but not on MGS it is big but it isnt huge though,it isnt somthing that could save it but it is pretty big

Looks great, might flop in sales but I'll be getting this shipped from the US so I can have it.

I my opinion there is too much confusion over the JAP market for the PS3. I reckon all the good selling JAP franchises on PS2 will sell just as well on PS3, even if it gets outsold horribly by the Wii.

Do you really think the people buying the Wii in Japan are going to mean lost sales to games like DMC4, FFXIII, MGS4 etc?
