I only partially agree. I think the really old games (like 8/16 bit) aged really well and are very playable, but I find it hard to play last gen (PS2/Xbox) games due to the now horribly outdated 3d graphics. That might just be me, I don't know.

To me, graphics don't get out of date. They are just different styles to me. I like variety and I like uniqueness. I like 8 bit styled games, 16 bit, 32 bit. It doesn't matter so long as it looks well made within its scope and its fun.
Its like with all of the indie games that are coming out now that use pixelated sprites. Its a style, not a date.
Good graphics are realitve. Most PS3 and 360 games look dull, boring and monotonous to me. Give me something like no more heroes or guilty gear. Something with life.
