Outdated graphics don't bother me too much, especially when some last-gen games feature great art design, but outdated controls are a deal-breaker. Thankfully, this is rarely a problem with Nintendo titles. :)

Sounds like marketing. Remember that Team Ninja is closely aligned with Nintendo. Otherwise, this doesn't make a lot of sense. The Japanese are happy with their handhelds because they commute with them and the rest of the world is happy with consoles. The Wii U might do well in Japan but it's not going to cut into the handheld market.

Yeah, I believe he's referring to Japan, since that's the only region where people have drifted away from consoles. And I fully agree: I believe WiiU will reinvigorate Japan's interest in console gaming.

I paid attention to Ninja Gaiden 2. But I refuse to pay attention to 3 as its utter crap.

To me, graphics don't get out of date. They are just different styles to me. I like variety and I like uniqueness. I like 8 bit styled games, 16 bit, 32 bit. It doesn't matter so long as it looks well made within its scope and its fun.

Its like with all of the indie games that are coming out now that use pixelated sprites. Its a style, not a date.

Good graphics are realitve. Most PS3 and 360 games look dull, boring and monotonous to me. Give me something like no more heroes or guilty gear. Something with life.
