Seriously? have you played GTA4? The driving physics are not existent actually. If Sleeping dogs driving is PS2 era then GTA 4 is comodore.

It makes GTA4 look like shit and the main character was far more relatable. The story was deeper too. It was like a Hong Kong action flick type story but written by westerners so it made sense. Its making me want to write off Saints Row now as well because those guys gave up on making a competent GTA type game and just turning the franchise into a joke. That game was such a waste of THQ's time but this game hit the nail on the head. Hopefully the sales of the game by the end of the year are enough to warrant a sequel because WOW!

maybe, but
GTA 4 was by far, the worst GTA title since PS1 era. even then it is hard to fault the title for the consoles at the time
GTA 3, vice city, and san andreas are better then 4, even if you don't account for them being last gen consoles.

Whoops wrong thread

Anyway on topic, Sleeping dogs looks good and I plan to get it but i doubt it will have much effect on gta 4 sales.

Sand Andreas is the only GTA game that I believe can hold a candle to this game in overall quality. GTA 4 was the wrong first impression to start this gen. Rockstar is truly lucky that only the core gamers know about this game, because if Square makes another and puts some series marketing power into it, they will have to step up their development.

Yeah, I know. Its a tragedy that it hasnt even sold a million yet. Even coming off of its True Crime roots its being reborn anew and I think its is a great start in quality. Im sure Square Enix is making quite a bit on it still because they only did half the work but im only speaking ideally.

Playing this right now and enjoying everybit.

I love the difficulty, the world is filled with a lot of stuff. It's interesting and refreshing. You're forced to use different tactics which makes combat mechanism evolving with new moves and stuff in the first 10 hour of the game. The driving feels like a real driving game, with the require mastery of the drift (which changes in function of your vehicle ad whether condition)

I have not a great experience of open world games, but compare to Mafia/Mafia II driving I've much more fun. And finally the setup in Hong Kong, with the music and the voice acting half english half cantonese is completely different in comparaison to competition.

I've only word of praise for this game. Go get it !

QFT. This game has almost every mechanic down. The driving is crisp, the fighting is awesome and the shooting is really good and doesnt offer assist.

I'm playing sleeping dogs right now and almost done with the game. It's one of my favorite titles this year easily. Saints row and Sleeping dogs > GTAIV

Sleeping Dogs was one of the better games I have played this year.
