Screw Saints Row! Square Enix and United Front picked out an underrated gem  and recreated the formrula to making a great open world game on par with GTA. The combat system is on level with Arkham City and actually more gruesome. The depth is awesome.The interactivity with the levels jaw dropping in certain areas and building up your character has never been better. I hope this game sells at least a million copies all around because it deserves every cent. What an underrated game. This game needs the Arkham Asylum, Demon Souls treatment when it comes to word of mouth because it is truly something special that everyone deserves to play. Its sad to see the sales, but this game deserves so much more than GTA IV sold. 

I doubt I will regret this decision, but my hidden gem of the year award goes to Sleeping Dogs. Most Underrated game of the year IMHO.

Sleeping Dogs is an amazing and very underrated game

Really? i thought the game looked rough around the edges and driving physics felt like something from the PS2 era.

It makes GTA4 look like shit and the main character was far more relatable. The story was deeper too. It was like a Hong Kong action flick type story but written by westerners so it made sense. Its making me want to write off Saints Row now as well because those guys gave up on making a competent GTA type game and just turning the franchise into a joke. That game was such a waste of THQ's time but this game hit the nail on the head. Hopefully the sales of the game by the end of the year are enough to warrant a sequel because WOW!

Have'nt played Sleeping Dogs and I've heard great thing about this game.

That being said, no matter how great it is, in terms of sales, GTA has nothing to worry about. Rockstar can become lazy with the GTA franchise and they will still get more sells cause it's ''GTA''. Frustrating but this is how it is :S

Sleeping Dogs is stellar, but don't talk shit about Saints Row or I will give you Shaundi's clap and then crush you with a giant ball of yarn.

I got the demo and was very impressed. You might have convinced me to get it.

So true Metrium. Rockstar isnt a lazy team either, but I mean they are four games into the franchise and they never thought to work on the combat system. This is what I've always wanted them to do. Exactly what this game has done. A lot of people love to hate Square Enix but this was a great pick up on their part. Their western made games are great.
