I think you'd be surprised if you looked at the full list of published titles.

Total Exclusives (Acording to Wikipedia):

Sony Published Exclusives: 65

MS Published Exclusives: 73

Here are the lists. I'm sure there are a few descrpencies or mistakes. But even if the 360 list had several mistakes it's pretty clear to me that the PS3 does not have a substantial advantage in published games.

90% of the xbox list is garbage. No one can deny it's a fact that PS3 has a more varied and better quantity of exclusives. Also, GT5 out sold Gears 3 and will probably out sell Halo 3 and or Reach. So much for PS3 exclusives over selling, look at those Forza bundle sales :p

HAHA you are saying that 360s are garbage but ps3 list is amazing ?  HAHAHHA i laugh my ass off!

i can only count 3 great Sony games and the rest is just avarage/bad games, others we dont know anything about like Last Guardian.

Uncharted 2 and 3 and God of War 3 and maybe just maybe GT5 but i have Forza why do i need GT ?

MS has more and better exclsuives, that will be prove this year with Horizon and Halo 4. Hands down.

So thats why Halo 4 will outsell everything this year from others 1st parties Console manufacters?

Do you really believe Nintendo will sell less than 10M of software this holiday? Really?

im not talking about everything together...

But yeah Nintendo is king SW wise.

Think he means just Sony. We all know Nintendo 1st party sells like crazy. Unless this guy is seriously in the dark on the very website that shows evidence of this lol

I sure hope he is just talking about Sony because as you said Nintendo games sell like crazy during the holidays.  Halo is the biggest non nintendo selling exclusive but it still can't compete with mario

lol the list posted by @kain_kusanagi is not first-party... just because Microsoft or Sony published some third-party game doesn't make it first-party.

MS First-party: Halo, ilomilo, Forza Motorsport, The Gunstringer, LocoCycle, South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play!, South Park: Tenorman's Revenge, Avatar Kinect, Kinect Adventures, Kinect Fun Labs, Kinect Sports, Fable, Black & White, Banjo-Kazooie, Viva Piñata, Perfect Dark, Kinect Sesame Street TV, Joy Ride.

Thats all... Gears is not first-party.

Sony First-party titles: Ape Escape, Siren, LocoRoco, Patapon, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, Gran Turismo, Tourist Trophy, Jak and Daxter, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Crash Bandicoot, Kinetica, God of War, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, MLB: The Show, ModNation Racers, Syphon Filter, Resistance: Retribution, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Sly Cooper, Infamous, SingStar, EyeToy, PlayStation Home, MediEvil, Killzone, World Rally Championship, MotorStorm, LittleBigPlanet.

Plus Sony have second-party games (Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, Spyro The Dragon, Daxter, Starhawk, Twisted Metal, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, etc etc etc)... Microsoft not.

FUD.

Welcome to 2007-2009

So much wrong with this. Exactly the kind of sentiment that brings me here.

You seem to have this sentiment that PS3 has this god library of games. Nevermind that the very gamers themselves ignore most of them. On metacritic, 360 has more 70-79 games (over 100), 80-89 games, and even 90+ games. Library > exclusives. The facts are right in front of us that 360 has more, and a better critically acclaimed library yet people like you remain in blissful ignorance.

XBLA gives 360 the variety in genres. But oh no.....a PS3 fan can only compare retail (neglecting XBLA), gamepad (neglecting Kinect since Move didnt succeed), exclusives (neglecting 360 multiplats NOT on PS3. XBLA doesnt exist, but i bet youll bring up Journey to suit your needs right? please........

You seem to put a lot of faith into GT5. What makes you compare that to Gears 3???? And its unlikely it will pass Halo 3 or Reach (which has over a million in digital sales).............nevermind what Halo has sold as a franchise this entire gen. You poke fun at Forza bundles when Sony has done bundles a lot longer then MS. Look at the Uncharted 3 bundle they are doing. Guess Sony has no faith in Uncharted since you think MS has no faith in Forza to sell on their own merits eh? But total Forza sales this gen > GT5, especially with Forza 4 bundles and Forza Horizon. Gang up effect? Not my problem, blame PD for only making 1 game per gen.

360 has more games, more better reviewed games, but the kicker is that Halo, Gears, and Forza.....from 3 seperate developers.......generate more sales then most of Sonys 1st party studios combined.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Halo 4 is going to be incredible.

But MS 1st party doesnt need to be saved at all.

I'm grateful that PD made only a GT game this generation... I don't need anything like FIFA or F1.

And the GT franchise sold 16.38m this entrie gen... how much Forza sold???

Edit - I checked... Forza franchise sold 11.43m this gen... I think you can remove the sales data from GT PSP because just the GT5 + GT5P sold more than Forza this gen... ops I forgot to count the GT HD Concept... sorry.

And Froza Horizon will not change that .

Not saying it should be yearly....but should be 2-3 year dev cycles since its Sonys biggest franchise. To want to wait more time makes no sense to me. Your logic would make sense if the game had polish.......oh wait. Noticed that PD has a nice track record of selling the same game to people in pieces. HD concept....prologue.....and finally the real game.

But by years end, Forza franchise will have sold more. GT5 + GT5 Prologue (which counting that in itself is still debateable), comes to 11.97 million. Forza is at 11. 43 currently. Forza 4 retail bundle + sales of Horizon will put Forza over the edge with GT.

Also keep in mind GT is Sonys #1 franchise.....Forza is MSs 3rd string exclusive. Imagine what next gen will bring  :)

That's a good point but you need remember the PD release a update in the meantime that it could be a completely new game.

I prefer frequent updates instead to buy a new game... I saw nothing in Forza 4 that needed a new game... quite the contrary I think Forza 4 weaker than Forza 3 in terms of physics and AI.

Made some edits to former post.

You see updates, I see making additions that should have been day 1. You see fan service, I see taking resources making a old game better instead of incorporating them in the next game. Think you give PD way to much credit. But I digress.

Forza 4 had enough features to warrant a game, certainly more then other yearly franchises out there.
