People have been telling me it's sort of like DayZ where, when you die (Atleast on Survival Mode) you have to start right from the beginning with nothing, and that you can actually level up your animal by killing others and such, is this true? Because if so, that'd be epic! Even though I've not played it yet, this game would be great with some sort of online component. Also, I'm never one to complain about this, but the graphics seem VERY dated, and those shadows bug the crap out of me (Seen screenshots, lol), however, it's definitely not stopping me from buying it! |
My 34 year old cat just died, ran into a pack of 4 big dogs in the heavy rain, in a polluted area, while already very hungry. Bad luck can screw you up good. I might have made it if I had remembered in time I still had some pet medicine, doh. Too bad his brother already died after I tried to take down a cow, the cow got mad and kicked me into a pack of hyenas. At least the brother managed to find a hiding place in time while the hyenas were devouring his sibling. Such a cruel world.
You level up by mating, which starts a new generation that will inherit some bonusses from the parents. Every generation becomes a little stronger and you start with at least 1 brother which can help you fight or counts as an extra life if you die and he survives. I haven't figured out yet why I got 4 brothers 1 time and only 1 the next generation. Maybe random, dunno.
You also increase stats (stamina, hunger, attack, defense) by completing challenges on time. Sometimes you find wearable items either on animals or hidden through out the world. Those you get to keep between play sessions, but degrade with use.
You can also find food/health items which on count for the current session.
Each animal has different challenges and the last one unlocks a new animal available to buy. I just moved up to a beegle lol.
You can also find story logs throughout the world which will unlock story chapters. I've only unlocked one so far, damn random events keep driving me in the wrong direction.
Now where is that station parking lot it wanted me to find.
