I'm curious how no other game really standing out for 3DS is being announced

Revelations is the actual benchmark for 3DS graphics and I wonder if it really is the holly grail of the maximum visuals on the handheld.

I wonder if somebody ever is going to push this kind of graphics on the platform on a regular basis or if it is just rare thing to happen from time to time.

A little of topic, but I wonder if next portable new zelda will adopt twilight princess, skyward sword or wind waker style.

I doubt alot of developer will push the 3DS' power as much as Capcom did for RE. It seems that developers want to keep dev cost low. No one will ever call out a developer for making a game with mediocre graphics on a system like the 3DS because the 3DS will probably always be consider as the ''low tech handheld with low graphics'' even tho it is completly capable of great looking games.

I read a long time ago that, according to Capcom, Revelations represents about 90% of the power of the 3DS. Unfortunately I can't find the article any more. :P

Didn't Nintendo free up more RAM (or something else) due to optimization to be used for devs sometime after Revelations was released? If so, there could be something 'better' in the future, like Revelations 2. Which I would definitely buy.

@ your off-topic mention; I have the feeling Zelda 3DS is going to look a little like OoT3D, but greatly enhanced.

Probably yes... we might seem something similar or slightly better from Nintendo, but loets be honest, even so that is damn amazing for the 3DS

power utilization and the actual look and game graphics are different. Without reading about the subject. I believe that it indeed utilized the 3DSs power immensely because when I turn the 3D on the frame rate and graphics become choppy. My theory is that they haven't left enough processing power for the 3d because they wanted bitiching graphics

Played the whole campaign with 3D on and didn't notice any framerate drops except the ones in the loading rooms.

Since we are talking about Resident Evil Revelations, that reminds me. There was a part on the Queen Zenobia where I got into a contaminated Pool area. It was a dead end but I turned on some machine to clean the mess up. Jill said that it takes a while and I should come back later. I figured it might be main story related but I never did go back to this place. So, is there something optional to get thats worth the detour? I'm honestly to lazy to replay the campaign, especially without CPP^^
