The difference is that while it's the worst week in 6 years for the Wii, it's actually a pretty decent week for the Vita. It's doing better than it has in 4 of the past 5 weeks!

Since Wii U is just two Wiis duct taped together...Wii sales will explode this holidays, in double!

It's not all bad for the Vita, though. If you add up the Vita and PsP sales, they're not the all-time worst sales for the Playstation portables.

There were after all 7 few weeks in early 2005, before the PsP launched outside of Japan, that it did less than 65,000.

Oh yeah I almost the Vita is still around!!!  I wonder if retailers are gonna scale back space once Wii U comes out?

Not sure of anyone said the Wii is doomed. It's already a success. It is in the process of being replaced though.

yeah my response to all the meltdowns that is happening after Wii U turned out to be better than last gen HD systems.  I still love my x360 though...until 720 comes out!!!

This is awfully unsporting of you. Don't you think. By chance do you take candy from babies as well. Bravo you just pointed out that a new handheld can barely match a console on its last legs. Apparently a cripple, and a retirement home resident can race neck and neck. I for one think it is less funny, and now more just plain sad. Can't we just let the Vita die with a shred of dignity. There are a lot of Vita owners on this site, and you don't need to be rubbing salt in their wounds. They get it, and we all get it.

Their platform is dying, and it has to really suck. Imagine how you would feel if your platform was dying on you. All I am saying is that even if you didn't agree with them. The least you could do is sympathize with their pain. Can we just put the damn Vita on ignore.
