I dunno if Wii U + Vita combined might sniff 40 million, lol. Who knows. No market for either system it doesn't look like.

Vita has a market though : Japan.

Vita Japan, and Wii U possesses the USA.

Will Sell more console that has the largest market importantte, and Japan can not NOTHING against the USA, so, There is a 0.01% chance that Vita sells more than Wii U... ;)

Times have sure changed.

Anyhow, there's no way I'm going to congratulate MBP on a "job well done" prediction. He hardly had any proof to back it up which inclines me to think he was just trying to go against the trend. (Which was Wii U optimism for most.)

It seems the Wii U also went against a trend, though. The trend of being a good console like the Wii.

Im mad i didnt comment till a year after the post. However, I think I would have agreed and thought its best possible case at any point was 45m with it being more likely around 35m. Now it looks like it wont reach 25m

Well, I don't really see any healthy sales for Wii U in the US.

Eventually Wii U will get the upper hand, just because its sales should pick up more than Vita during the holidays. It's going to be interesting.

You can't "prove" a prediction. True he didn't explain why he thought it wouldn't, but he still deserves credit for being right.

Wii U does not go well in the U.S. now, but wait till they get out more games like Mario Kart 8, the new Zelda, and the new FPS Miyamoto.

Look Vita in Japan at the beginning, they selling only 10-15 k on week, in 2012 in Christmas sold ONLY 20,000 units... and now sold 20-30 k on week.

And I will be the same with the Wii U, they not selling less of 25,000, and have an average of 30-40K on week in USA and during Christmas become a beast with 150-200k, maybe even 300,000 on week before Christmas.

Vita not could never do numbers like that in Japan ...

Not a regular gambler, I see.

I don't see how selling 10-15k per week in the biggest market means it "possesses" the USA...
And just FYI: Vita has sold more in Japan than WiiU in USA. Says it all, really.

Yeah, US its doing practically neutral. I think people say this cuz 1. Its highest sales are from US and 2. Vita is beyond terrible over there (especially starting 2013). This I agree with you, WiiU definitely does not possess US.

That said your  last statement is kinda off. Yes its technically beating it now. But with a year headstart its only beating it by less than 400k. Cumulative Sales WiiU US>Japan Vita :)

Lastly, wanted to point out that even though Vita in japan is on track here (vgc) its totally off in the other regions, possibly by alot. (3DS is the same way, but more)

Too bad as the Wii U is out for 1 year and Vita 2...

and as already mentioned, the Wii U has yet to begin selling seriously in the USA.

Vita sell only 10,000 units on week 1 year ago.

Now they sold 25-30k on Week.

Wii U after coming Mario Kart 8, new Zelda, and FPS of Miyamoto(and more marketing + price drop) will begin selling in the USA not less of 25,000, and 30-40k on week.

And during Christmas become a beast...

Only due to its launch being relatively big there. Launch aligned means nothing if you're both behind and currently losing. For example, Vita sold more in Japan in 2013 than WiiU in the US 2013, it's the same so far in 2014 but worse.

We don't know if Vita is off...Sony combine it with PSP and they have yet to reveal this Q's figures.

Still, even if weekly sales were terrible for wiiu, its still doing better if together aligned (but vita obviously closes the gap), but in reality both sell terrible. Anybody can spin numbers, but we both kno wat they are

Vita is off, by how much total i dont kno but it is alot, US alone is at least 130k off. As for everywhere else we got shipment numbers inand both psp+vita far surpassed those numbers as sold on vgc.
