Forums - Gaming - Gamers bombard Platinum Games with hate-filled messages over Bayonetta 2 on Wii U

I know there were castlevania games and a Megaman game, but not the follow-ups to the games we were expecting. We didn't get Symphony of the night, we didn't get Capcom, and we didn't get the companys' support in general.

I'm not saying people weren't pissed, but they defo didn't behave like OP, and mostly kept it to themselves on the long run.

So what...  We had Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

Funny reading some of the responses in this thread. Nintendo shows they're not playing around by securing a third party and the video game community is up in arms.

It's definitely good deal for Nintendo to have this game as an exclusive, But does it make sense for Platinum games ?

Now that PS3/X360 owners fill confident to buy the new game because of the good impression left by the first one.

It's a strange business decision for me.

Strange? Really?

They had 2 options:

1 - Work

2 - Don't work

Guess what they chose?

Rare wasn't all I wanted, that's what. I grew up on Nintendo. Capcom, Konami, Tecmo, Square those all MEANT Nintendo to me. So that blow was much harder than what any of the fools in OP are complaining about.

.... and with that I sent them a very nice and supportive message yesterday. I think people need to be more happy that the game is even coming out and less irritated its on a console they don't already own.

People said they game will be a flop because all of this outrage and for being in just console but with all this, the game has gotten more popularity in the gaming world than ever before. Gamers who didn't knew about the first game are probably more interested in the sequel, maybe not to buy a Wii U for this one game but probably enough that if they eventually get one they will want to play it because of all this "controversy"

Nintendo and PC gamer

These people are retards that have a false sense of entitlement. Sega said they weren't interested in making a sequel last year so thank Nintendo that it will exist at all...

Chef: Well, look at it this way: if you want to make a baby cry, first you give it a lollipop. Then you take it away. If you never give it a lollipop to begin with, then it would have nothin' to cry about. That's like God, who gives us life and love and help just so that he can tear it all away and make us cry, so he can drink the sweet milk of our tears. You see, it's our tears, Stan, that give God his great power.

I like it. If only people weren't babies, they could have the power of Job. That's like us Nintendo fans who lost Final Fantasy, Megaman, Castlevania, and all the great new games all at once with the N64, and we kept it to ourselves mostly and went on to play what Nintendo had to offer, until we realized there was a better way, and that was to comply and buy the PS anyways. Tough sacrifice as a die-hard Nintendo fan longing for the supremacy of a company that made everything right for the industry at the time. A shame what had to happen, but now we have a better Nintendo, one that is more meek, more friendly with 3rd parties, AND that gives the industry the life it needs.

umm, there was a Castlevania and Megaman game released on N64 so you didnt lose anything. and no you guys didnt keep it to yourselves i had alot of friends that were pissed, just cause the internet wasnt that big back then lets not act like people werent mad. But everything else you say is correct

well to be fair SoTN wasnt a followup to the last 2d Castlevania game, it was the strart of Metroidvania, but thats for another time. Yeah it didnt get An actual Mega Man game, and that sucks.

You cant know if people didnt behave like that, this happened years ago when things like forums or IGN etc. were not that prelevant, im sure you had some kooks who were saying and acting just a crazy as these people are know, i know cause ive seen em. They most def didnt keep to themselves.

Maybe you had a wrong definition on what Nintendo meant and as cool as GE and PD was they were not substitues for what was lost, not even close so i agree with you on that.
