But if you dont live in USA nor Japan? what are you gonna do?? People in South America for example wont be calling Nintendo of America (USA) for a replacement ¬_¬.

My guess it's that you'll have to talk to the international distributors.

Here's the link if you are interested

So if they want a replacement? lol

Customer support.

If they were stupid enough to destroy it on purpose though they can always buy it from NoA, as stated in the OP.

Nintendo of America =/= Nintendo of United States?

Believe me it mostly (I forgot Canada lol) is.   There is no Nintendo of America in Brazil/Peru/Chile/Colombia, etc.  There is no Nintendo presence at all in south america, that is why Nintendo of America is Nintendo of (NORTH) America

And half the confused people buying them would be Wii owners. It's a good PR move more than anything else.

But think of all the money they could of taken from the general public thinking it works on their Wiis!

Former something....

They will sell them eventually, just not right away. No big deal unless you're stupid and break the screen on your controller. I'm sure you'll be able to order a new one from NOA in this case.

Developers working on launch window games didn't receive the ability to program for2 GamePads until well into development. So because the games initially cannot support 2 GamePads, NOA will not sacrifice their allotment of console packaged GamePads for retail units that can't even be used yet.

It still weird why the GamePad will be sold in Japan, if there are no games that support 2 controllers atm why sell them over there? Maybe Nintendo is afraid the casual gamers in America will buy the controller thinking it's just an add-on for the original Wii and they are doing this just to save them future problems.

Who knows their thinking on it in Japan.   Perhaps they are closer to getting a dual GamePad capable game than the US is.

Just updated the thread

If I was in charge of NoA, I would wait for production to increase and costs to come down on the second controller and start selling it for Christmas 2014 almost like it was an add-on.

will any game require the pad controller is a better question imo.
