They missed either September or Octobers Canada (unless it was really late and it slipped passed me) ... but there was definately November Canada.

We really need something to explain NPD, it almost as bad as having to explain Sony's shipment numbers all the time.

^no it won't... but VGC numbers are already 20k below PS3 USA... so it only has to sell 80k in Canada.
but then if Canada is generally 10% of overall gaming, yet Sony does worse there comparitively then it won't manage 80k.

I didn't see a single store sell out of PS3 up here at Christmas. PS3 was very plentiful while Wii was always sold out and 360 was sold out of premo and elites at about 80% of stores I visited...

Hardly scientific but I did a lot of travelling a Christmas and am fairly confident it is reflective of Western Canada.

yes canada is a hockey team, hockey like soccer has international leagues, the only time it get a TON of exposure is during the Winter Olympics
