Meh I thought parody of a parody got the point across.
Parody of a parody of a parody of a parody of a......
Yeah you get the point....
Even though this is a parody thread it is pretty impressive to see how much software MS has moved this gen. They sold more than both the PS2 and PS1 despite a huge userbase disadvantage.
The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

Nowhere close to Nintendo. Maybe not even close to SEGA.
Speaking of SEGA, where are the Master System, Genesis, and Game Gear?

Next Generation Sony just should make a Minigame lasting 5 minutes. They will also include it as a bonus with every console sold, every controller sold and added to every physical Disc sold. After some years this game will be the no1 console game in the world... But it would still be just a damn stupid 5 minute lasting minigame...
Ok, Wii Sports sold very well... But this game is just a tech demo. There is so little depth in this game that it got boring after 30 minutes. And Wii Play wasn't much better to be honest.
At least Super Mario Bros. was a worthy game at the top. But this game was also heavily bundled.

Are you trying to suggest that those games are the only choice for nintendo console owners? you not taking into account the 140 wii games that sold over 1m units? or going further down the 488 that sold more than 250k they aren't all mario games or nintendo games and when I got my wii it definately didn't have 488 games bundled with it, which was a shame.
Games sell on the wii, it's not down to a lack of choice, it could be partially down to them being a little cheaper than the HD twins but still they just sell.
Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive
Even with the bundles, I can't believe MK Wii outsold the original 3 versions of Pokemon all by itself. That's insane.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Regardless of what you think of Wii Sports as a game, it was a brilliant marketing tool. One of the best the industry has ever seen. Millions of people bought the Wii for Wii Sports.
Consider this: according to Nintendo's own data (courtesy of the Wii's Nintendo Channel), the average Wii Sports player has poured over 43 hours into the game. By comparison, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has amassed about 46 hours per player, and Super Mario Galaxy has only managed to keep players hooked for 33 hours. You may have gotten bored after a half-hour, but clearly you do not represent the majority.
Does 43 hours of enjoyment per person not "deserve" a "sale"? Tell ya what, if your hypothetical 5-minute-long Sony game can provide so many hours of fun to its players, we'll count those sales.

Because everyone buys and loves Wii Sports, then after feeling the greatness. They buy Wii Sports again.
