Well, as the title says.... do you think the 40 gig ps3 was a good purchase for me?

 I have a ps2 so backwards compatability isnt a great deal to me.

I use my Computer for all my picture viewing/editing

The only thing that is a real concern to me is the 2 usb ports, but i am told i can hook up my usb hub so that isnt a major problem

 

I just brought it for the blu ray and a few exclusives.

I'd say it was a good choice.

You can also recharge your controllers, etc. in any other USB port, so only having two on the ps3 itself isn't that big of a deal.

Also, I expect that Sony will eventually do software BC for ps2 games, even if it takes them until the ps4 to finish. PS1 BC was done via hardware for most of the ps2's life, if you recall.

What do you mean crazy?

I had a ps3 at launch... and i had Resistance, motorstorm and call of duty 3...

I really enjoyed resistance, but i didnt like the other 2 very hugely so i sold it along with the console.
