Does anyone have a good place to import this? Play asia wants 85 bucks...

The Japanese PSN wants only 6600 yens. I bought the game from it but the imported PSN prepaid card cost me a lot anyway... The boxed Project Diva F costs 7300 yens in Japan so you're not going the find it for less than 80$/€. But go for it, this game is pure pleasure!

Is that how much it costs for the digital version? I'd rather buy the retail one (if I was in the market for the game). On Amazon JP it's 5,610 yen.(23% off)

Even at a big store like Bic Camera the price is discounted to 6,580 yen (10% off), plus you get 658 points to use at the store (effectively another 658 yen off the price). The only reason I could see for someone to get the digital version would be if they were outside of Japan.

There's also people that are lazy to go out and buy the game in the store.

I guess...still you are paying quite a higher price, plus afterwards you can't sell the game. The used game market is very large in Japan.

Anyway, I just picked up these new games! Soul Hackers last week (included in these numbers) and Senran Kagura Burst this past Wednesday (included in next weeks numbers.) Both with the pre-order bonuses as well!

I've had Soul Hackers (Saturn) for a long time now. ;-p

I'm surprised that Miku f did so much better than Mirai. I suppose it's because the Vita version is more similar to the PSP/PS3 versions.

Marai is just a chibi spin-off and there are difference in gameplay I'm told.

EDIT: Beaten.

Yes, I said the same in my post shortly after.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Please choose your jokes better, I was about to yell at you...

This article worries me SICK! First because I'm in love with this game and I was already saving money for next year. I DON'T want to see another of this ugly 3DS iteration, it would kill me on the spot.

Secondly, it might not be limited to Project Diva F in the first place. What if PSVita developpement cost really ARE too high? It would explain why 3rd parties hesitate so much, not to mention it may hamper future Vita games.

I am not going to sleep well tonight... Couldn't this spokesman fellow just shut up and save the bad news for later?

My guess is that he kinda did to increase guilt purchases, that was my first thought, otherwise there absolutely no point in doing that.

@ugly 3DS version. You didn't like the art style of the 3DS version? It's chibi right?

@pezus. Yes they are, they were even singing to the music in that live concert and it sounded like they were really into it. Songs sounded good too, the vocaloid is impressive.

to me vita is pretty much dead with rising of phone/tablet market gaming

3ds also unstable
nintendo only have one card to play to give 3ds big momentum
which is most powerful card on handheld industry that guarantee success for all generation nintendo handheld
that is pokemon

Interesting analysis for Hatsune Miku numbers, talks about who bought and number of bundles.
Game did awesome for the system.

High Sell-Through For Hatsune Miku Project Diva F

Sega's Hatsune Miku PR person made some statements vita Twitter that suggested Hatsune Miku Project Diva F may not be selling as well as hoped. Media Create's sales stats suggest otherwise.

Media Create reports a high 74.63% sell-through for the game. Like the Enterbrain figures we shared earlier in the week, Media Create placed the game at the top of the weekly sales chart, with 159,592 units sold.

Compared to previous Miku games, F doesn't quite stack up. Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2nd sold 241,000 units in its first week on PSP in July 2010. Project Diva Extend sold 185,000 units in its first week on PSP in November 2011. While F missed these marks, Media Create notes that the Vita install base is considerably smaller.

One sales trend difference for F is that male buyers dominate. The PSP titles drew attention from female buyers. Media Create's surveys had 41.2% of female responders strongly interested in the first PSP title, compared to 28.6% male. For F, this was reversed. 32.4% of male responders expressed strong interest in F, compared to 20.5% female responders.

F broke some records for Vita. It's the best start yet for a Vita game. It also pushed the Vita above the 50,000 mark, with 23,000 of those hardware sales coming from the special Hatsune Miku Vita bundle. This is the first time Vita has crossed the 50,000 mark since the fourth week of December.
