The best selling Project diva game is at 400k (according to vgchartz). This game should break 300k so I don't think sega has much of a reason to be disappointed.
Time for hype
This confirms, that in Japan at least all the vita needs is software, which is fitting because who will buy a console that is lacking software. Nice numbers, but it needs developers.

Nope. Not unless they WAY overexagerrated what they thought the 5th anniversary and more name brand star would do to boost sales.

Does anyone have a good place to import this? Play asia wants 85 bucks...
Time for hype

It's a disappointing first week compared to the last two entries because it didn't sell more. Comparing a game to its previous entries is a good way to see if a game had a good first week; just like how there was all the comparing of NSMB to NSMB2. So overall disappointing opening for Miku. Series fatigue? |
Ridiculous, this opening is extremely satisfying.
With the digital sales (estimated at 10% by the series spokesman), Project Diva F opened at 176K, so just 10k under Extend on an install base 20 times smaller!
Don't forget that a PSVita still costs 25'000 yens and a boxed Project Diva f 7'300 yens : that's a huge hurdle. Extend had solid legs (now 320K) as price dropped. That may be even more true for Project Diva F with a start price so high. This developpement costs issue really worries me though...
And by the way... THIS GAME IS F** AWESOME! I've having a bloody great time with it!

It sold more than the 3DS one, which could be a better comparison. If anything that confirms the franchise on the PSV.
But again, this doesn't balance the scale, 3DS position is just going to get stronger unless some mindblowing thing happens in TGS.

The Japanese PSN wants only 6600 yens. I bought the game from it but the imported PSN prepaid card cost me a lot anyway... The boxed Project Diva F costs 7300 yens in Japan so you're not going the find it for less than 80$/€. But go for it, this game is pure pleasure!

This article worries me SICK! First because I'm in love with this game and I was already saving money for next year. I DON'T want to see another of this ugly 3DS iteration, it would kill me on the spot.
Secondly, it might not be limited to Project Diva F in the first place. What if PSVita developpement cost really ARE too high? It would explain why 3rd parties hesitate so much, not to mention it may hamper future Vita games.
I am not going to sleep well tonight... Couldn't this spokesman fellow just shut up and save the bad news for later?
