Forums - Nintendo - Wii U Zelda coming in 2014, will be biggest Zelda game ever! (Exclusive details from trusty source!)

Nothing wrong with the Skyward Sword artstyle. Maybe if they leaned it slightly more in the "realism" direction, like they did for the demo of the game we saw earlier.

Larger dungeons aren't the key, however, the key is a more expansive overworld with seamless dungeon flow. Which for the most part Skyward Sword got right, except for how they clearly separated the regions of the overworld. Skyward Sword without the sky would have worked out almost perfectly.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

For once I will wait for reviews... If it has any unskippable text/cutscenes then fuck it.

"same visual style as Skyward Sword"
I like it, just hope they give it more enviroments to show it off more.
But like other zeldas i think it might change as develope continues if this is true.

Given the past experiences, the 2014 launch is nothing more than a guess, and it will probably get pushed back until 2015.

And the art style may also change if they think it's for the best, although Skyward Sword visuals are fine to me.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Im liking everything BUT the SS visual style, its just not my cup of tea. I prefer TP/OOT/MM. Thats just me. Guess i know what year im buying Wii U. Owned every console Zelda so far

Sounds believable, but also worrisome.

It will reduce the number of games Nintendo can make which will cripple the momentum of their console.

Maybe they have a partner? Just like Namco with Smash Bros or Team Ninja with Other M.

Other theory could be that both Zelda teams (handheld and console) are working on it, while Grezzo is working on a new Zelda for 3DS or the Majora's Mask remake.

I believe this last one depends on the schedule of the 3DS. Maybe there are a lot of games from third partys and some key ones from Nintendo to keep the momentum, so no hurry for a Zelda on handhelds. Wii U needs more this game than 3DS. Remember that Nintendo consoles don't have the same 3rd party support.

Sounds reasonable. Nothing weird or unbeliable. In fact holiday 2014 was my optimistic scenario. Hope is right!

Some points:

1. Art Style - Using the same Skyward Sword artstyle will be the right decision. As Rol mentioned in his post, it is enough worrisome to have the largest team and budget in this game. In that way, they don't have to spend a lot of time.

2. Story - An interesting thought: Majora's Mask has the same artstyle as Ocarina of Time, and it's a direct sequel. Same as Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks with Wind Waker. This game having the same one as Skyward Sword will let us think it's a direct prequel or sequel to Skyward Sword, although sequel seems more reasonable.

3. Dungeons & Overworld - Forest again? :/ ... Well, the "all the forest is a dungeon" could mean again big areas as happened with Skyward Sword. I hope it's not the case. I like that in Skyward Sword, but will love to see a big interconnected overworld with the power of the Wii U.

Hopefully this is right, as I didn't have read official confirmation for the acomplishments.

Never saw that coming..

I doubt it.

Firstly, when has anyone ever leaked specific gameplay details about a Nintendo EAD game? Anyone saying they have a "source" from there is full of sh*t.

This is just wishful thinking/speculation under the guise of "my friend told me this".
