Krezzy and I share the Vita love role. Though, I suppose he's slightly "more" pro-Vita than I, even if I have 2!

Similarly, it doesn't matter who is pro-whatever company, because either most of us are fans of multiple or all consoles (as I am) or are willing to set aside their bias for just moderations. Which is the way it should be!

Would you mind, like, mailing me your second vita or something?

Not this time, sorry!

Aw, and now that I was starting to like you Cone!

Yes, that's the official stance from the mod team. You totally bought into it.

who is the token sony mod xD

one thing its to be bias other thing is to be bias , be a mod and show it all the time and sometimes post shit that could be moderated if other guy would post it. I dont see mods like kresnic , smeags and axumblade calling peoples suckers for buying a remake  on a console they dont like for example. Yojonhy was a microsoft mod and i doubt he would say something like that or something like those already posted by fusion.

I dont think he is a bad person , he just needs to be less biased.

The head mod, Axum, who is not very active anymore!

I feel like yourself and a few other posters view it as my responsibility to stop having an opinion now I am a mod. As Cone notes, there is no suggestion that I have applied bias as part of my moderating duties.

The post you referred to was not as explicit as implied here, and certainly was not directed at any individuals. It was an expression of my own opinion. Indeed I recall it was one of the few posts in that thread explicitely labelled as an opinion.

Ultimately all the (active) mods express opinions. But people are more likely to take issue with mine in this environment. Whilst that in itself isn't a problem, it is a problem when people begin to state that I should not have an opinion!

While that's all nice and dandy that you have your own differing opinion on things, other members like Shinobi aren't allowed to voice theirs... So, like Jaywood said, you guys aren't consistent.

Yesterday starcraft gave me a 3 day ban for this post http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6601839

His reasoning was that I was flaming. I messaged another mod and had it overruled, but I still find this very concerning and I think that it should be shared here. In the 4 years or so I've been here I've never been warned or banned once. And starcraft gave me a 3 day ban because I sarcastically said "starcraft knows best". Not to mention I said that because he was claiming that everyone getting involved in the Zoe Quinn issue was a perv. How is that different than me saying that "everyone who agrees with EA Access is a dumbass" for example in a thread where many agreed with said access? But anyway this isn't what this post is about.

Throughout my years here I've never felt afraid to argue/disagree with a mod. I argued/disagreed with Khan and Carl numerous times for example (but to be fair Carl just became a mod) and with this ban starcraft changes that. Right now I feel like I should treat mods differently. I should reply to them with more caution or just not reply at all. Had I directed that comment to any other person besides starcraft I would not have been banned.

Also, even though the ban was overruled I'm so salty that I have a mod history now. Thanks for that starcraft.

Edit: Ha look at what he wrote in his profile:

I was so livid at that thread to be honest.

There were another few I wanted to ban on personal opinion, and a few more who were clearly sexist but more subtle about it.

When some more mods come online I'll ask them to have a look at it. There were a few calls in there that I don't feel comfortable making alone as a relatively new mod.

The bolded part is very crucial.

I understand what you're saying, but the post was still worth moderating (even if it was but a joke). It's a harsh moderation; perhaps not one I would have made myself as well. But I understand why it was moderated.

Do agree about the length, however. A warning would have been better which is why we cut down the ban length. As for what he wrote on his profile, I can't comment on that. You'll have to wait for him

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Why is it worth moderating? Where's the flaming?

You made a joke, effectively mocking a moderator in an already tense thread. Maybe I wouldn't have moderated it (a warning at the very most), but that's why it was.

No one would have moderated that. No one. Saying "starcraft knows best" damn what was I thinking saying that to a mod. I was so out of line.

Even though it shouldn't matter because my comment isn't moderation worthy no matter what the circumstances were do you see why I said that? He said people who were getting involved are just pervs. I was getting involved in that. I don't appreciate someone calling me a perv.

But no I get it, saying "starcraft knows best" was so out of line. I can't believe I flamed someone like that. My parents didn't raise me to jockingly say "X person knows best"

Hey, so I have a question, what happened to mummelman? Seems like he dissappeared as soon as he was made a mod?

Also, everybody should give starcraft a little slack. He is often the only mod online when he is on here and doesnt have the ability to talk over potential moderations with the other mods. That sex controversy thread was just a big nightmare to have to handle on his own. He was probably just feeling stessed out and was a little quick to pull the trigger by the time he got to you talal, but it was overturned so all is right in the world...
