NSMB 2 plus 3DS XL.. still think it needs more games in the West. I don't think they have a good holiday lineup in the West, so I don't think it will sell as well as last year

Yeah me too. I'm still thinking why there is no Call of Duty on it. Activision already has the Wii engine, with some tweaking, voilá, here's your glasses free 3D CoD folks.

As a guess ...

One of my theories for why third party publishers didn't even try to produce games in a lot of genres (or using known IPs) for the Wii was that they didn't want to introduce competition against their own games that were releasing for the HD consoles. The same could be true of the 3DS, and since the Vita is getting the game they didn't want to release it to the 3DS

Yeah I wonder where all the doom and gloom analysts went. I'd love to hear some more about the 3DS situation now.

Sure. Do you want it from me, or would you rather hear about it from Iwata?

The 3DS is doing fine in Japan, and nowhere else. Comparing its sales, immediately after a hardware revision, to those of systems that are 6+ years old doesn't impress me much. Comparing its sales figures to the anemic early sales of the DS didn't impress me when the 3DS launched, and it doesn't impress me now.

If the 3DS continues to outpace the DS a year from now, I shall gladly eat my serving of crow. But the fact remains that it's selling far less than Nintendo thought it would, even after a very early 33% price cut, and that they're publicly worried about that.

Its a good thing no one is trying to impress you then. I mean, if topping in all 3 regions doesn't then I don't know what will.

A new system outselling systems in their twilight is expected. It's a necessary condition for impressing me. But it's hardly a sufficient condition. Especially when that required a hardware-revision bump to achieve.

And, again, Iwata isn't impressed by the system's performance either. But if you guys want to think that's an impressive feat, knock yourselves out.

You are factoring out Vita. Its new and the 3DS is outselling the hell out of it. Vita is its direct competitor. I say that is quite impressive.

Sales are fine. Its just not going to come anywhere near the sales of the ds unfortunately. It will however maul the vita into oblivion.

It's very likely that 3ds remans on top in all regions.. (mayby ps3 will win europe 1 or 2 weeks)

Offcourse that will chance when wii u.. launch.. :)

But 100% Wii u and 3ds will top every region from that point.. until ms or sony enters next gen..

And an other thing... it's very likely that in the holiday month... wii... wiiu.. ds and 3ds will top every region...

That means TOTAL nintendo domination... :)

I have no response to this that would not qualify as "trolling" the Vita, so I shall refrain and leave that to others who are more creative with the rules than I.

its selling due to the price reduction, after launch it was very low weekly sales combined with not a lot of software
