That is just terrible. Some higherup at SE most litteraly be in LOVE with Lightning for them to force on us what we fans clearly made them know we did'nt want and make a other game about her. Sure she is cool and all... but someone needs to let that boring emotionless Kristen Stewart wannabe die!
If that game was called ''Kristen Stewart Returns: FF13'' I think it would attract just as much sale.
The fact that we will be forced to uniquely play as Lightning the whole game is not even the only thing that makes me hate. I also hate the FF13 world, it doesn't make any sense and the fact that this is 100 years after FF13-2 makes me think that the world will end up making even less sense. Why they insist of sticking into that ff13 world is beyond me....

But yeah, they probably want to make her theyr mascot cause she has that ''cool mainstream badass look''.

I'm just guessing. They'll not release two big titles so close to each other, if Lightning Returns is coming late 2013 there will be no room for Versus.

Well, that's true. This is almost guaranteed a december release in Japan - like the previous two.

Versus could be the one releasing in the summer though, since those games have no legs... it's not that close to one another, imo. But more likely it'll be a 2014 game... something tragic, but hilarious nonetheless.

Did anyone play the Lightning DLC for XIII-2? I was curious how much it added and if it was good value. Also wondering how that plays in now that this title will be following her exploits.

I was just thinking about this and I'm actually really worried. I mean, what are the chances that they're actually going to tie up the story? From what they're making it sound like, Snow, Sarah, Zazh, Fang and Vanille aren't going to be in this game. What's lightning coming back for then? To cry some more? "Oh Sarah, I'm sorry I couldn't save you these past 3 games"
