Another thing. I did not like what they did with Hope in FFXIII-2. It's as if they consummed all his soul. And he was deprived of personality. Yeah, he actually had character development.  He went from this little whining bitch, to this firm, strong man.  Working his ass off to help his friends, travelling through time, he became this really dependable man.  He smiled, encouraged people, and most of all; he got shit done.

Yeah, hope was one of the things that I'd put in my "most Improved" category going from XIII to XIII-2.  I actually liked his helpful, mature attitude in XIII-2, but his character in XIII was whiny, shallow, and poorly developed.  Basically "Waaah, I hate this guy for killing my mommy even though I clearly saw he was trying to help, and I'm willing to jeopardize the entire mission to get my revenge...but wait, I can't actually do it.  Okay Snow, you're cool with me, sorry for being a whiny bitch."  that's his ENTIRE character arc in XIII.
