Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why Do You Love Apple Anyway? Apple Love is TOTALLY Out of Control!

In response to morenoingrato's thread

Whether you like it right now, apple is the biggest phone maker right now.

It's revenue and profits is bigger than microsoft.

Their ipad is now the generic tablet...

millions and millions of people fall in line to buy their expensive product.... so the love for apple is actually "ridiculous?" why????

I don't "love" them, as it seems completely illogical to "love" a company, but I do like their products. Unlike most companies, Apple doesn't just want to make a buck, they want to constantly push the industry forward and create products that better the human experience. They've had their duds, all companies/people fail occasionally, but for the most part, their hardware and software are at the top end quality wise. Their closed system allows quality control far beyond anything else out there. You know when you spend all that money on an iphone or Mac Pro, that you're getting pure quality. I appreciate that.

To me, Apple is the Nintendo of the tech world. There are so many parallels, it's not even funny.

Nokia is the biggest phone maker. Samsung is the biggest smartphone maker.
That said, please stop with these "why Apple..." threads. It's one thing to make a thread to discuss an interest, it's another to keep copying other's threads. If you're really interested in the question, go to morenoingrato's thread. Many people there answered that exact question.

I have a Mac Mini and before that I owned an original iMac, before that an Apple II. I haven't used an apple product in years even though that Mac Mini is sitting on my desk. I used to use it for cross platform development, but now I don't need an actual Mac for that. Visualization does the job just as well.

I neither love nor hate Apple. I absolutely can't stand elitist Mac-Addicts that act like they "Get it" and everyone else is stupid for not buying into the Apple lifestyle. Right now I'm pretty pissed at Apple's unconstitutional attacks on it's competitors and unworthy patents that restrict industry innovation. But I still think Apple makes good products, often overpriced, but if you like style more than function it's your wallet.

The Great and Powerfull Woz is a personal hero of mine. He is a ingenious inventor. Steve Jobs was a genius salesman. I've never liked salesmen.

It seems I was wrong. Samsung is the biggest phone maker. Period. They overtook Nokia too. The same is true for strictly smartphones. Google's your friend, mate.

Oh boy, Apple is gonna sue you for this thread.

Also, Apple's father will hear about this.

2012 units sold... let me repeat 2012 units sold...

that is disregarding all the active IPHONE that was sold since its birth...

5% advantage of android over ios made it clear that iphone have mor active users than samsung since samsung share the 48% to other phone makers like LG, HTC, Moto, ETC...

Logic is your friend my friend :)

I have no idea what that chart is about. If something is not self-explanatory, you should post an article to go with it. How was that calculated? Some web-site traffic? If that's the case, it tells nothing about sales or market share. Anyway, the chart I posted is from Gartner. Samsung sold more than 3 times as many phones. Just take the data and admit you were wrong. Geez man. It's as simple as that.
