Also, some of these replies makes me wonder if this is what a lot of the responses of 3D Realms fans felt about DNF.

What?

Duke Nukem Forever - that took a long time. Got nicknames like 'Duke Nukem Whenever' or the like. In the end the game nearly was cancelled, the studio was going down.

And the game was forgettable.

Though he worked on both previous Team ICO titles, Kaido was not believed to be affiliated with the studio's next game The Last Guardian, which has undergone a troubled development cycle.

Not TLG's producer.

I dont care if TLG turns out to be the best game ever, a 7 year at least production cycle is rediculous.

Theres no excuse for it and some people need to be fired. Still hope The Last Guardian comes out as Ico and SOTC are both brilliant but from a business point of view this is pathetic

Good question, maybe he got bored waiting for something to do....

I didn't realize team ico was this big.

I get that. I just found Kasz' grammar rather hard to follow in his comment, as to who exactly felt what in his statement is unclear.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Needless to say that The Last Guardian will not be the same as to what was promised when Ueda-san was in charge.

I would hope that Nintendo would pick him up and work with him as they did with Masahiro Sakurai

I agree. That was the first thing that ran through my head as well. After playing Xenoblade, I hope Nintendo can publish more mature games for the Wii-U and this guy is the right person for the job. Great creative mind.
