Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Land : Would You Buy It?

Nintendo Land is a game you need to play with others to enjoy. So it's not fair to compare to single player games. I mean we wouldn't buy Batman AC:AE or Zelda or Pikmin 3 to play with friends so those should be taken out of consideration.

So IF I'm looking for a multi-player game, would I pay for Nintendo Land? No. I'd get NSMBU or Rayman Origins instead, or even Sports Champions first. Nintendo Land looks like fun but mostly demo fun that's quickly over and not worth returning too even with friends.

Better things to use money on

I'm hoping its a pack in, but I don't think it will be. I'll get it for 20 bucks tops. Any more and I'll pass.

Do I want it? Definitely. For a full $60? Errrr... probably not; I'd wait for a price drop. For those wishing for a $20 stand-alone price, I wouldn't count on it. Considering DS games like Brain Age and Crosswords sold for $20 I would expect Nintendoland to retail for $40 at the absolute lowest on its own. I certainly hope it's a pack-in; definitely Nintendo's smartest move all the way around.

Really though, we're all being a little quick to judge the game at this point simply because there are still several of the games in Nintendoland that haven't been revealed yet.

Four players on a screen and one player with a tiny screen? What's stopping Microsoft or Sony from making a game with four players on their own screen and.......one player with his own full sized screen because (and this may shock you) there's this thing called the internet.

The internet is full of dicks and assholes.  Just check out what happens in most games played on PSN and Xbox live.  You just have gamers talking shit to each other about their "skills" (example any CoD online game, happens on the Wii version too).  I was reading an article talking about what Nintendo wants to do with it's online community and it sounded really promising.  Instead of being hostile to each other over a fucking game wouldn't it be nice if there were people that actually treated each other nice while enjoying a game.  Here is the article that I read.

on topic: I would buy it probably but I wouldn't spend more than 40 on it probably.  Probably a game I would pick up on Amazon new after it gets a discount.

My guess is 39.99 too.

This looks way more intricate than Wii Sports to be given for free. It's twelve completely different mini-games, and more!

To me, it's a must buy. It won't be the system greatest game, but it'll be good and will teach you a lot of how the system works.

BTW, one game that is not receiving any love so far and it's a MUST BUY must buy title for me is Game & Wario. Games like Mario 64 DS, Wii Sports or Nintendoland may teach you how to use the console, but Wario games teach you how to use a console in retarded ways - the best ways.

And the classic, now in 3D (the powah of Wii U!)

I wouldn't, not even for cheap.

I couldn't agree more. This was the case with me regarding Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. It was what introduced me to Wii's motion controls even before Wii Sports which I didn't play with until after I finished Wario and Twilight Princess.

^I am also looking forward to Game & Wario, actually I was thinking before E3: What if Nintendo made a new Warioware game. And it turned out to be real, while it may not be 1st day for me, it will still be a game to buy during the three first months.

I'd probably buy it.

I think it'll be pack-in, if you'll at least have the option of a bundle I'd buy that. If it's not, I won't buy for 50+, be doubting at 40 and buying it for 30 or less.
