Never played it and I'm too scared to play it, I don't want it to mess with X's perfect ending.

This is not fresh ground, and it is not being addressed meaningfully. You are repeating arguments people have heard all over the internet to make a soapbox. That's not interesting.

You want an article that's interesting and would foster good discussion? Talk about the different deisgn paradigms that work in the XIII games, how they could be incorporated into a whole that works well, and what your hopes for XIII-3 are.

You don't even know what my points are, how can you possibly say that?  

Gameplay wise it's pretty good (very good, in fact).  Story wise it's a joke.  sure, it has a bit of an emotional punch at the end, but one can only stand so much charlies angels nonsense coupled with an incestuous brother who is constantly macking on you.  it's just dumb in many cases.  Still fun, though.

You know what that's not really addressing the base of the problem, which is that "This shit sucks and this is why" articles just aren't very interesting to read, and where they are they still don't foster meaningful dialogue. You've expressed a desire to get good discussion going, so move away from that mode.

Then don't read it.  and yes, I have a few points I've never pointed out and have never seen before.  Yes, I am obligated to mention much of the stuff I already have, but there's a lot of more accurate points explaining why it doesn't work.

You cannot posisbly be that defensive. This is me telling you what makes for an interesting article and what doesn't; that does not reflect on you personally.

You could do more with the article than you intend to. You could create more discussion, but you won't; that's fine. But it is disingenuous to pretend that you want to foster discussion about these issues, and larger design issues in general, and then not make even a cursory attempt to structure your arguments in a way that is known to foster discussion.

The most interesting thing is how SqureEnix and the 360 Fanbase are still defending this.
Everyone knows Final Fantasy can sell this numbers alone on the PS3 or even more as the Tales of Franchise showed.They got an insane boost just cause it(Tales of Xillia) was PS3 Exclusive.
The same would happen with Final Fantasy just with much bigger numbers...Versus 13 or FF15 could sell 8 Million with ease on the PS3/PS4.Especially after the let downs 13 and 13-2 were.And no one can deny that - It would happen.People are hungry and have the mindset a PS3/PS4 Exclusive would be amazing(the details about Versus13 still prove how everything is possible that isn't as a multiplat - weird isn't it?) - Alone the hope from the people on the infos we have about Versus13 would boost the sales as a PS3 Exclusive hardcore.
There is no reason for SquareEnix to support Microsoft any longer with Final Fantasy - The Sony side could reach those numbers with ease alone.
