Forums - Sales - Vita's sales is now approaching the level of Dreamcast sales.

You'll punch me, but I still say MH is going to be announced for Vita in Japan this TGS. Very 3DS-esque scenario: a quick cash-in and a future exclusive version.

Maybe not the exclusive, but the cash-in... it just does not enter my head the idea of Capcom abandoning Vita in the cold like that. Going with dreamcast again, just look how they supported it (thanks to NAOMI board, but still)

3 Resident Evil (one exclusive)

2 Marvel vs Capcom (both exclusive - as the PS version was so crap it does not count)

2 Street FIghter 3 (exclusive), 2 Capcom Vs SNK (exclusive) Jojo, Plasma Sword and Project Justice (exclusive)

Mars Matrix and Giga Wing (exclusive)

Spawn (quit doing exclusive stuff, you get the point)

Power Stone 1 and 2

And it was not in 2 years... this was during DC first year (1999-2000) only. Sigh... really DC's death was the low point of gamers preferences.

Oh yeah! Vita: 2 ports. It simply impossible to believe that's it.

OK, now it is clear how the Vita can be saved: Sony sells the whole Vita-business to Sega. The Sega Vita will overflow with Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Street Fighter and so on.

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

10 years greatest game event!

The state Vita is in is somewhat alarming, but deeming is doomed is a bit of an exaggeration, and premature even; since new games have been announced as well as the holidays nearing.

I will say, that to compare any Sony console sales to that of a Dreamcast is a slap in the face to a Sony partisan. It is like: "Dude, your Sony console is selling LIKE A DREAMCAST!". The Dreamcast was the last Sega system,an a moment of triumph for a Sony partisan, as they saw a competitor fold to their platform, and they got Sega to develop games on the PS2.

The tragic fall of Sega was not a moment of triumph for anyone who plays video games. We lost more than a console that day.

Likewise, the failure of the Vita is or would not be a triumph for even the more hardcore Nintendo fanboy, however they may delude themselves into thinking it so. The Vita is an important product. Sony needs to act fast, because yes, it is quickly slipping into Dreamcast territory.

Interesting....launches aligned this is the time 3DS got its price cut.

Sony either has to face the hard facts like Nintendo did and price drop, or let things stay the way they are and let that hardware gap get bigger and bigger.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Maybe Microsoft should take advantage of the weak hand-held market and jump in. Just kidding but on a serious note I'm still holding off on a Vita until i get a Final Fantasy game or something similar that can push me to buy it.

No please....I dont want to end up getting 3 consoles AND 3 portables >.>.

lol. To be honest if Microsoft did make a portale i would buy it in an instant.

Vita will have more releases until the end of the year in the west than 3DS, it is far from dying.

Really? Source please.

(I don't say it's wrong, but this claim is too big to go without a good source.)

Eh, I agree. Sony should be okay. After what happened with PS3 and now the Vita, there's no way they're going to screw up with the PS4.

Edit: Replied to the wrong person. >_>

Well come on look how the PS3 started...and now look where it's charting. Given that fact the PS Vita is now doomed

IGN currently has 110 upcoming games listed for release on the 3DS in 2012 compared to 51 for the PS-Vita ...

While I suspect IGN's list is not accurate, I doubt the PS-Vita will have more game releases than the 3DS
